The ball was blocked.
You are allowed to hit the punter or kicker if the ball is hit.

Initial reaction is simply to get to a larger actual payout in 2025 into Tunsil's pocket, and creating more flexibility in the future.

I would also imagine, similar to what Anselmheifer eluded to, it opens up the opportunity to negotiate once again this coming offseason.

His salary became guaranteed anyway on the first day of the season.. so no real point to doing this unless you're trying to create cap room. hmm.. possibly big trade coming??

Since they added void years, it should create cap room next year too, so it doesn't have to be a precursor to another move. At least, I think they added void years... I'm going off of the headline, I didn't read the details.
 
Lost the other Smith to the eagles and Clowney to the turds but we got Preston back. Gotta hope that he has a little Calais Campbell in him.

Well he's only 32 be haven't seen anything great from him in a while. He averaged 8 sacks a season over the last 3 years with GB. He might possibly be better overall than Fowler was last year.
 
Has the team brought in another place kicker? Watching Gay kick did not make me happy.

I know it was difficult at the time with the Snyder fiasco in recent memory, but perhaps Washington made a mistake by cutting Brandon McManus before he was actually found to have done something wrong.

In the end the stewardesses contrived to use the flight as an opportunity to set up a player for blackmail and then when that was refused they filed charges but they were dismissed.

McManus is now kicking again in the NFL for the Green Bay Packers :rolleyes:

I’m never going to ding the FO for this, I’d much rather them err on the side of taking action on things like this especially when it involves a non-core player. Is it fair that a star player or high draft pick gets their day in court, so to speak, but a kicker or UDFA doesn’t and just gets cut due to the controversy? Maybe, but you have to set a standard somewhere and having a quicker trigger with less important guys is how teams try to scare the rest of the roster straight, so to speak. Usually the disruption of keeping that guy on the roster through their drama is not going to be a net-positive. Especially because false positives on this type of conduct are rare in the grand scheme.
 
We signed Darnell Savage to replace Harris. He was good never really lived up to his first round promise in GB but got himself a multiyear deal in JAX. He has been terrible there and got cut earlier this month. Whitt and Simmons know him from GB. Hope they can fix him. If they can, it would allow Quan to play in the box more
