I am thinking it might be from the Adam SchefLer account. It always tricks me at first glance because the spelling is so similar.

Ya know, watching that Hail Mary 800 times, it always struck me that Terry wasn’t nearly as excited as I would have expected. He was the first teammate to get to Noah but, idk, it just fell a little flat of what I expected his emotion to be. I recall thinking that months ago, way before the contract stuff, and just shook it off as different people process things differently, but now I can’t help but remember. I was running laps screaming at the top of my lungs for a solid 15 minutes and well, he just didn’t strike me as being nearly as excited as I woulda thought.
 
TMC at the game Saturday, it sure looked like he didn't want to be there. Hiding in his hoodie keeping to himself. I wish Peters told him to not go that he is a distraction since he wants a trade.

Regardless, it didn't look like his idea to be there. I would say Buddy boy saw Hendrickson on the sideline the week before and had the brilliant idea to try to same approach and made Terry go... yet again it all just looks like amateur hour.

For one thing, he'd be forfeiting damn near a million per game. If you're griping about money, you can't exactly toss it out the windows cause life's so unfair to him.

And, suppose to does decide he can piss away a few million to take a stand against the powers that be over his ill-perceived slight, AP is not going to change his stance regardless of wins/losses. It's business and the current market.

One thing I'll echo is that, like a lot of posters here have said, he's getting some very unsound advice from folks in his inner circle. Most notably would be his agent, who I think we all can agree has in the very least shown he's been out 9f his depth in these negotiations (more leaning to complete incompetence).

At this point, I can't see TM sitting out games and losing that kind of bread even if it pisses him off. He should bet on himself (if he truly believes he's a top 5 receiver and therefore should be compensated as such) and go ball out.

He did show up for this last preseason game even if he seemed pissed off about. Honestly, it would make sense because he has come to the realization that he'll have to play this season without a new deal.

Oh, no argument from me on how unwise it would be for Terry to try that, especially with Peters as GM. But thus far, most of what Terry has been doing has either been straight up dumb or has backfired in some way. If he's truly delusional enough to believe the team will cave and give him ~$34m/year (or he's delusional enough to truly believe it when others tell him he's worth that much) then he could be delusional enough to believe that if the Commanders lose badly a couple times at first then they'll just suddenly cave.

It sucks we get 1 good year FINALLY and one of our best players plays the high drama pay me more card.

I assume Peters laughed in Buddy's face with his hail mary trade request after just 2 weeks of negotiations.

I wonder if Boone and Chris are onto something. Terry has always been great about being unselfish on the field. He never complained when other receivers got more targets or that he was underutilized, but he was still the face of the franchise. He was one of the top people mentioned whenever reporters, the organization, anyone wanted to hype the team.

Now, he's not. He's not one of the guys. He's not a pawn on the chessboard, but he's just a valued piece like a bishop or a knight.

Nah... I still think it's about money.
 
You know, I was going to joke on Baker and looked for a photo of him (there were plenty of bad ones) but I saw an article talking about how he lost both his parents to COVID. I guess I won't mock him. Still think he's a horrible agent and he's leading McLaurin astray of course.

In a way I guess I’m just searching for something sensible to hold on to. Something that makes his ridiculous stand more understandable than just monetary greed. It is certainly not uncommon for a driver in people to be something outside of the obvious. Something psychological lurking below the surface.

What is interesting is that during TMs weeks of pouting it appears that Deebo and JD have gotten close and will probably have good chemistry together. It will be funny if he turns into the #1 WR and McLaurin ends up having a down season caused by him sitting out the entire training camp and preseason.

Agree and I thought Lane showed he can play outside also, which I was not expecting. He popped off the screen a little to me.
 
Sad part of all this is that TM was for the longest time the only bright spot we had on our team, now though even if he signs an extension that will be tarnished for me. I am all for these guys trying to make as much as they can, it is business after all, however I can't stand these players that refuse to play out their current contract. YOU signed it, YOU need to honor it.

I wish no ill will towards TM, I just wish he had continued to show up to work and do the right thing, because at the end of the day he is still under contract. Don't like that you didn't get an extension, then test the waters after your contract runs out. Pretty simple really.
