It's his nickname. when he was younger he was bald and all the kids in school called him Bill after some cartoon

As to Deebo, I feel like he's basically in line for a suped-up version of the role Oz had last season. If he can’t fit into that (fat pun intended), we’ve got a couple of young bucks in Lane and McCaffery who I'm sure are eager to step in and make an impact. If one of them can ascend because Deebo is declining, I'm fine with that.
 
I don’t think Deebo makes or breaks our season. Still up on the team overall. But I totally expected a chiseled Deebo to show up in June after all the fat jokes from the offseason. He had one job, get in shape and appears to have failed. That’s all. Sky is not falling, and neither is the # on Deebo’s scale.

What proof do you have that he isnt in shape? A few random photos and tweets? How about we listen to the coaches? DQ said he is in great shape and is one of the fastest players on the field.

To add to that, how many of our fans paid close attention to how Deebo looked in gym clothes when he was in SF? I've seen the man in full pads during in-season highlights, that's about it. I wasn't scrutinizing his socials to judge his body fat percentage!

He's got ~6 weeks until training camp when this actually matters. That is more than enough time for any player to get into cardio shape.

Admittedly Deebo does look slow and heavy in that clip, but I’m going to trust DQ on this one. It’s normal to run plays at half or 3/4 speed in practice, and Deebo has always been a thicker slash type player as opposed to a skinnier WR. Here’s a picture of him in college for comparison:
