I’ve really been waiting for this.

You have to think that with the hard work DC had to do to get this done, and the coordination between DC and our executives, that RFK is almost a forgone conclusion!

Now all we need to make the week better is a victory against the Eagles!

I can't say a whole lot but the new ownership team wants us to be the best franchise in the league. They realize what it's going to take but they're willing to invest heavily to make it so.
That would be great if that's the case. And I won't stay off-topic, but if they combine the new stadium with a new name/rebrand in a few years I truly think I could jump back in with both feet!

Maryland will receive both the Air National Guard squadron and full federal funding for the Key Bridge rebuild which removed the barrier that it imposed on the inclusion of the stadium bill being rolled into the spending bill.

RFK seems to have all the momentum. Would be pretty pointless to go through all this and then not build a stadium there. I still think the team would be wise to move their HQ to Landover. Maybe turn the Ashburn facility into a state of the art “training facility” would be the way to keep the Virginia connection.

I’d like to believe there is a way everybody wins here.

Imo, if they leave Ashburn it will be to use that land as a server-farm facility or sell it to some entity that will.

And if they move out of the area, especially to Maryland, it will require most of the front office, coaches, players, and staff to pull up roots and relocate.

I don't like giving up the squadron and neither did Holmes.

DC should get a new one and move on.

Exactly what I was thinking

Build the stadium at RFK, then build the new HQ on the site of Northwest Stadium, then convert part or all of the Ashburn facility into a training camp, off-season practice facility.

Josh and company have an opportunity here to completely reset the entire organization in a way that is much more centralized and functional.

Well…the republicans rejected the spending bill at the urging of Donald Trump and Elon Musk. So, maybe a government shutdown and no RFK.

Yeah, the potential is real now that the current stadium bill will die and that the process will have to be started from scratch with the incoming Congress. In other words, Maryland would now very much be back in the game if not in the pole position.

New funding bill does not have RFK transfer to DC in it.Apparently DOGE is convinced there was 3 billion to build the stadium in the old bill. Or at least that’s what they are telling everyone.
