2023 NFL Playoffs Thread

I rarely feel bad for other team's fans, but man - that was just a brutal loss for Buffalo fans. I saw folks mocking a Buffalo fan who was crying at the end of that one and I unfollowed all of them. I totally feel that guy. You have to wonder if Allen and Buffalo will ever get their championship or even have a chance to. Playoffs 6 out of the last 7 seasons, great QB, and just can't get over the hump. Brutal is the only word I can think of.

Never bet against Mahomes when death is on the line.

Mahomes was pretty human tonight. Only 215 yds passing. He hurt them more with his feet but Buffalo's LBs and DBs were awful. This was Buffalo's best chance to get past the Chiefs and they just flat out screwed the pooch.

Got to feel for the Bills kicker too. He's probably going to get death threats because that's the kind of world we live in. I think I'd probably just resign and find something else to do. No one is ever going to let him forget missing that kick.

I'm seeing a lot of focus on Buffalo's kicker but very little talk about Allen's decisions coming out of the 2 Minute Warning...

Fair criticism. On the other hand, if his OL doesn't get obliterated and shoved into him as he's delivering that last pass - Bills win and he's a hero. But yeah, I'm sure in retrospect he's wishing he'd just taken what was there....

I get blaming the QB for those few ending plays, but the Bills D dropped the ball and let the team down. Maybe Josh Allen could have done more, but the D could have done something. For goodness sakes, KC didn't even punt once until late into the fourth quarter.

Couldn't agree more burgold. It was bad. Josh Allen will take the blame, he always does. But the offense got very little help from the D for sure.

I believe the Bills defense was without 3 starters in the back or maybe I read that wrong but if that's the case it surely played a role in their scheme. I was hoping to see the Bills vs Baltimore, I just saw it as a better game but alas.

Side note: Jason Kelce should be immortalized in a statue especially with that man shaped chest hair lol

Yeah - some of the analysts were discussing how team health is huge at this stage with Kansas City being one of the healthier rosters still in this thing.

Buffalo’s ‘window’ may not be slamming shut, but…

(In addition J. Allen’s cap hit next season escalates to 47.1m from 18.6m.)

The thing with Allen is that this is the 2nd time he was really good and still failed to win. The first time was when the Chiefs tied it with 13 seconds left a few years ago. But when you don’t win, you get every throw and every decision nitpicked. It happened with Marino, Manning, and Elway. Yes, people tend to forget that Elway was a choker for the longest time, but his 2 SB wins his last two years have caused people to forget that he was in the same bucket as these guys for most of his career. Anyway, Allen will have this same label, will be picked apart for every decision and everything done until he is able to get over that hump. He pretty much has to be perfect for that not to happen and he wasn’t perfect on Sunday. He was just really good and was let down by his receivers a few times, his lineman a few times, and he had a few mistakes of his own. All that added up to being just short of winning.

My life would have been incomplete without the opportunity to see Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl.

Lions are killing it early.

What is it called again when the QB lines up under center and hands the ball off or fakes it and throws?

Kyle has his work cut out for him at halftime.

49ers D was so good before they got Chase Young.
