Ooof.

So the worst kept secret in Football is now official. Honestly I'm abivalent to the Commanders. It's such a meh name. And it's hard to shorten unless you go Comms of Commies, both sound awful.

I kinda like the burgundy jersey, but the white looks terrible.
And though Mike is right, Black isn't our color, I do quite like them as alternates. They're a million miles better than some of the colour rush uniforms we've had of late.

I hate that from a design point of view there's no consistency. The fonts are all over the place.

Not sure I like the matt helmets either.

And honestly... it took them 2 years to come up with that W logo... that's the same as the one we have already just with an outline.

Money well spent gang!
 
Doug and Jason are absolutely tone deaf and just puppets to Danny boy.

They even talked about the harassment and race issues. That hype video made us look bad.
 
They're going to come up with a new mascot and song?

No fucking way. Chief Zee is our dude and that's it.

Fuck, man. I'm really not happy with how this was handled.
 
Washington Football Team was better. The name and the uniforms.
 
Early prediction ... this, or something close, will replace the W on the helmets within a couple years.

The WFT 'W' was very sharp. Fans liked the font and look. The new one with the 3D edges doesn't do it for me. Just the idea of having a 'W' as the primary logo - that's about as lame as you can get. But it's hard to come up with a logo for a name when no one knows what it means :) They should've had a contest - some of the fan-generated logos I've seen have been 🔥

It would be better than that W - but there's WAY too much white in this badge. Make it burgundy background and maybe you have something.

I don’t really care one way or the other. Commanders is … fine. But this is why you dont wait two years to do a stupid reveal. It took years for Football Team to grow on everyone, and it will now take a few more years for Commanders to settle in. Such bad planning. We should all be over this by now.

And one comment as a professional graphic designer with 30 years of experience: One of the basic rules in design is you don’t outline your text with another color. That’s what high school kids do when they make posters advertising car washes for band uniforms, not what a professional organization would do. The W they already had was fine. Now it looks like someone’s kid designed it. Hopefully that gets changed soon.
 
I actually really like the Burgundy helmet. I'm still a little iffy on the black with the w on the front, looks a little weird to me. The White jersey just does nothing for me.
