2021 Roster Updates

I had that thought on Monday when they announced he was going to IR. If so, we just paid a lot of money for nothing more than a great influence in OTAs and training camp. :(

He will comeback and the team will be forced to play him. He will lead the team to the playoffs, then after the season say the coaches never wanted him to come back.
 
Reading between the lines, he’s being told he needs surgery. But surgery means he’s done in 2021, so he’s refusing it in the hopes he somehow heals enough to play. Chances are, that won’t happen, or his subs play well enough it won’t matter.

At his age, I think he’d be smart to hang it up. Are we the official QB graveyard of the NFL or what?!!!

How many plays before Samuel is hurt again?

I've got 5.
 
For clarity on Samuels, the team now has 21 days to move him to the active roster. I've seen it reported that they do have an open roster spot for him to fill if they want to activate him immediately. Most teams do not activate players until closer to game time. If the team does not move Samuel to the active roster by the end of the 21 day period, he then goes back on to the IR and is no longer eligible to be activated for this season.
 
Didn't scherff go back in and finish the game though?
 
JP and a couple guys are on the radio now all saying they don't expect Samuel to play Sunday after watching practice. He looked 'fluid' but clearly still not full throttle.

There is a loop hole that can be used in Samuel's case, they can always active him, and move him back to the IR designated to return to prevent from losing him for the season.. I THINK the 3 week clock would then re-start, but it would mean 3 weeks on the shelf and not the remainder of the season.
 
Cut Cam Sims and promote Harmon to the active roster.

Harmon can actually catch.
