Redskins Acquire Center Bryan Stork

I have to believe that Callahan had some input on this move as well, and if he is willing to see what the kid has got, so am I.

I seem to recall that people wanted to bail on Moses at one point, Lauvao was trash, etc. If there's one position group that I'd give the benefit of the doubt to it'd probably have to be the O line.

If the kid works out we upgraded the C and solidified the interior line, that's a huge upside. If not, we don't pay a thing for trying except the time spent finding it out. This doesn't even twitch the needle on my "give-a-****-ometer"

Desperation? Give me a break. There is absolutely no down side to this move. Only the most pessimistic of pessimists could even remotely view it that way.

Make the team?

We are talking about Lichtensteiger, Long, LeRibeus and Reiter currently as projected guys who could be centers.

If Stork can't beat out this rag-tag group playing on one leg I would be surprised 😎

Clearly he's got ability. That's not what I'm talking about.

Are ya sayin you wanna go back to your role as Executive of the LeRibeus Fan Club ? :p

Leribust should be cut for a special teamer that plays 5 snaps a game. Hell holding an empty slot on game day is more beneficial than having him near the field.

LOL, when it comes to him it's a bridled rage. This staffs version of TyPo.

Any chance that we keep a 27 year old Leribeus, and send a 31 year old Licht packing?

Rabach,Montgomery,Steiger.

Those guys were undersized and/or not very strong at the point of attack and our centers for the last 15 years.

Just on size and ability alone,Stork will be our biggest, most talented center of the last 15 years !

How crazy is that?

Imagine this for just a moment.
You're a smallish 190 pound-ish CB playin against the Skins.
It's a running play, and just around the edge of the line, you see Brandon Scherff and Bryan Stark comin right at ya.
What do you do/say ???
I'll tell ya what you say....

"Here you go, gentlemen. Please feel free to pass on right through here, beside me"

Well, the way I see it is, he will make the team. I'd give it till week 3 before he can actually step in at center. I also expect to see him on the field because I have no faith in Litch when it comes to his health. If this does happen, we don't have to shuffle the way we did last season after two injuries. Not having to move 3 O-inemen due to one injury is huge in my book. When we had the line intact, it looked like our running game was going to be sick with Morris and Jones... then linemen started getting hurt, and we never saw that sick running game. The shuffling may get you by, but the less you have to do it, the better the product you'll have.

I don't care if he has a temper.... I want a center that can compete on a high level, not getting pushed backwards on most plays, and will give a defender a shove when a BS hit is laid on my QB. I want a gladiator.. somebody who's only goal is to hammer the living shit out of whoever is in front of him.

I like this move... we're getting a very talented player for nothing.

LeRibeus should never have made it through the season he came to camp 60-70 pounds overweight.

You know Bellichick and a lot of other coaches would have pulled the plug on that experiment at the time.

Stork has still not informed the team that he is going to report. Hopefully this isn't much ado about nothing.

I'm no Leribeus fan, but let's be real.

Everyone take a deep breath and keep an open mind.

He's 30 pounds heavier, four years younger and healthy.

The team was on fire with him on the field, until he was replaced in the playoff game.

He's also 1/8th the cost of Licht.

Crazy? I don't think so. Ring the bell. School's in.

He's 300 cheeseburgers heavier, the team was on fire in spite of him being on the field, and if he never played another down no one would notice a bit of difference. Except for Cousins, who would wonder why the ball isn't being hiked 1 foot over his head every other play in the shotgun.

I heard on the NFL channel that he was going to report on the weekend. I'm sure there are some legalities and am pretty sure the NFL and/or the NFLPA have to approve a trade. Just a rubber stamp in this case but still has to go through the hoops

I won't feed it.

Oh, and OM, your posts always have thought and substance.

I recall numerous players that joined the team late last season doing pretty well. Isn't that part of Scott's philosophy? Finding gems that were accidentally thrown out in the trash can?
