Comcast SportsNet has been counting down the top stories of their ten years here. It's a celebration of the network's ten year anniversary, but the top story -- as anchor Kelli Johnson notes in her introduction to the piece below -- "is one of heartbreak and tragedy": the death of Redskins safety Sean Taylor.
It's a heartbreaking story indeed, and a grim ending to a celebratory countdown. And it's a story that most people reading this blog probably remember all too well. But it's also somehow appropriate: although the story was terrible, CSN's coverage at the time was detailed and moving. This package also fits those descriptions, and even the timing of the announcement seems fitting, just a week after what would've been Taylor's 28th birthday.
