Which team will show up on Sunday? This season continues to be full of surprises and frustrations. On to the questions.
1. Which team will show up against Minnesota indeed? The team that beat some heavyweights or the team that loses to bottom dwellers?
Answer: For now, Minnesota is a bottom dweller. But they are better than the record suggests and a coaching change could bring a spark for them. We'll see what transpires on the football field.
2. It was asked earlier in the season, but is Clinton Portis finished in DC?
Answer: Probably so. I posted a heartfelt letter to CP26 this week and I hope he can go out with dignity and find a place on the coaching staff. Teaching those blocking skills to young backs would be a real positive for the Redskins.
3. Speaking of RBs, the ranks are thin.
Answer: The Redskins could be forced to recruit at some of the local high schools. This young group simply needs to soldier on and game some valuable experience.
4. If the Redskins win this week, are the playoffs still possible?
Answer: Anything is possible, but highly unlikely. The schedule down the stretch is very tough and the coaches should spend plenty of time evaluating players for next year's roster.
