As several predicted, BGO NFL Pickem players came crashing down to Earth this week.

Week 3 wasn't disastrous for everyone though. Honorary Hog and RobinTom led all comers at 12-4, followed by SNF, tugboat, Matt, Dik Shuttle, Devil 1, IronMike, Jimbo, and Shi no Tenshi close on their heels at 11-5.

For the year, RobinTom and Shi no Tenshi, are in the lead currently both at 37-11. Matt, SNF, tugboat, and Yusuf06 follow with 35-13 records.

I think the overall standings there are through week 2, Boone. Only reflects 32 games. :)

*edit* And I only point that out because I should have moved up a little this week.

You're imagining things...all giddy from your dominant pickem performance no doubt :)

Heh heh...heh heh...69 percent...heh heh...heh heh...

Blog Holla makes a loss in Dallas a little more stomach-able (not a wurd).

I'm going to try for consistency & hope that gets me close.

Hail.

What exactly does the "points" column represent? And how are the rankings differentiated when the record and percentage are the same?

Its how far off your total predicted points for the MNF tie-breaker is from the actual point total. So, if 500 points had been scored on MNF, and you predicted 501, you'd be at +1 for the year.

Ahhhh! So, closest to the MNF score, whether over or under, is best. Thanks! I never paid attention to those before.

That's correct. I've got it set to 'closest' (whether you are over or under) although we can change that in upcoming seasons if we want.

We can also do a separate contest where spreads are used.

Woo Hoo! I think we usually start out strong, but never this good. Hope the bottom doesn't fall out any time soon!

You should do a contest where you have to pick every game of the season before the season starts, then lock it so no changes can be made.

Now that's one that'll show either real predicting skill or tremendous luck.

Congrats! You're doing great.

Me on the other hand? 28-20? I need to try the monkey-throwing-dart approach, methinks.

Oohh. Color me gone if that's the case. I can't deal that well with straight-up pick 'em, much less factoring in a spread...yikes.
