Man, this thread is WAY too active.

Tim Settle looks to be returning - He has not practiced since his injury last season. This is not an injury from this year.

I saw a tweet that Quinn said Amos & Oweh will be reevaluated later this week regarding availability for Week 1......so I am not up on the issue with Oweh, but we are still well over two weeks from the game and there is also concern Amos might not be ready yet the most we have got regarding this injury is "ankle soreness?" huh? Unless the concern is less about the injury at this point and more not having enough practice reps to be game ready?

This is ridiculous, at what point does the S&C start taking heat for the amount of injuries going on? Just read Coleman might be injured as well.

What i read was Coleman did 1 on 1s, report was they scaled him back because of the added practice yesterday, and the expected workload hes going to get in the joint practice tomorrow...

So I do think that a good number of "injuries" right now are more nagging aches & pains from preparing for the season but are being classified as injuries to justify the rest but the Amos & Oweh injuries are the two that jump out as being concerning considering based on what they have been willing to tell the public doesn't seem to suggest it should be keeping them out this long from practicing but there never seems to be any additional insight into what exactly the problem is.

I agree NoCal, .......only Allegretti feels different. You have to think that they want him out at practice if it was really minor. He's the unproven at a vital position. They really need to find out what they have in him.

Allegretti an Amos

I'm not shocked by the Amos news, but a bit surprised.

I can't tell if this is to bring back the consistent S&C joke from past years or not?

Just look at the league wide injury list: https://www.espn.com/nfl/injuries

We don't appear to be a wild outlier 🤷

Amos news is not surprising but still disappointing. Something can only be described as "soreness" for so long before something has to give in either direction.

It wasn't said in this thread and now I can't remember which, but there were a couple complaints about the team not being more honest about the players' injuries.

Why? Why does the team need to be honest to fans about a player's injury? Fans don't control anything except their own fantasy leagues I guess, but otherwise, that's just inside the team. I'm perfectly fine with being unsatisfied by how the team has filled some of its positions, but the public disclosure of an injury is a non-factor.

One injury can really change perception.

On the offensive line, if Tunsil hadn't gone down we would still talk about center but we'd probably be feeling pretty good.
In the defensive backfield, if Amos hadn't been unable to recover from injury we would feel okay about the DBs.
