The only FA QBs listed on Spotrac are:If Mariota is going to miss a lot of time, I'd personally want to get a veteran QB besides Kaliakmanis. Preferably someone with past experience in a system that Blough considers most like his own. Doesn't mean he'd make the final 53, but more likely to be helpful to the team in the longrun than Hartman on cleanup duty and nobody but Kaliakmanis to rely on.

We need to see what Mariota's situation is. I'd probably take Driskel as another backup option, but candidly, in any of those scenarios, if Daniels goes down, it'sLooks like slim pickings, but of the available guys, maybe Jeff Driskel if you want familiarity, Jimmy Garrapolo if you want experience?

Look up at the list I posted above.People keep bringing up Driskel. That QB is so Kliff Kingsbury.
But seriously, Driskell looked good in Kliff's system. I'm not sure how good he is in other systems. One would would think not very since he's available and it's mid-August.
There's always trying that guy who was a backup for the Chargers and Falcons.........
Lost in the injury.....Mariota's first pass attempt looked awful. Looked like he shotputted the ball. Floated it toward a wide open receiver but way short. Mariota may no longer be the ideal backup either.
