All he has to do is get a winner on the field, and he'll be forgiven his assholeness, just like JKC was.

Exactly! Winning just gets people to focus on the positives.or George Preston marshall lol
"What will it take to get you to **** me?" she says he ranted on the day before he fired her in 1996. "New clothes? A car? Money? A house? Name your price."
But after that auspicious start, Thrift says, she soon found herself catering to the whims of a tyrant.
And, these things, frivolous or not, would be easily believed by the fickle few, of Dimwit Nation.Thrift says that she had to serve as nurse and playmate for Cooke because his real family was unwilling to spend much time around the often crabby and abusive tycoon. According to Thrift, Cooke's son, John Kent Cooke, never spent a night in the house caring for his father. Nor did Cooke's adult grandsons or any other member of his family during that time.
How much longer will it take before people stop buying tickets, stop going to games, stop giving this fraud their money, and run him out of town?

Fans are suckers. Ford has owned the Detroit Lions since 1964. They have been one of the worst, if not the worst, team in the NFL over that span. Yet the owner still remains.
We are stuck with Dan, whether we like him or not. We can only hope he gets his act together enough to field a winning team once in a while (hopefully moreso than the Lions have).

If everyone would just stop going to games for one season, he would be forced to sell or move.
And if he moved? DC would have an expansion franchise immediately, with a top pick in the draft, and other benefits.
Or....just continue on the same path, and watch this for another 20 years or so.

You're living in fantasyland if you think that will ever happen.
Check the history books. There have been long spans of dismal seasons, long before everyone's favorite whippin boy ever came along.Maybe at this moment. But what if we had another 3 seasons in a row of below .500 football?
What about another 5 seasons?
At what point does DC become Jacksonville? Or at what point do fans decide that maybe they don't want to support this owner anymore?
Even huge markets, like LA, eventually throw in the towel. Add our owner on top of it, and it may not take as long as you think.

Sarge, maybe you aren't familiar with historic anti-semitism and I know you're not the most PC-sensitive guy in the world, but depicting a Jew with horns is kinda like depicting a black guy as a monkey. It's something probably best avoided, even if one's motives are pure.
A widespread medieval negative image of the Jew was based upon a misinterpretation of the Hebrew Bible. Moses was often depicted with two horns on his head as a result of the Latin mis-rendering of the verb "sent forth beams" (karan) in Exodus 34:35 as "grew horns." (A horn is a keren.) This image, which was widely portrayed in art of the Middle Ages by artists including Michelangelo and Donatello in Italy, led to the widespread notion that all Jews had devilish horns.

The fact that he is complaining about that picture, when we have all seen it used on hundreds of other non-jews(Obama for starters), absolutely boggles the mind imho.
I'm not saying it is or is not offensive. My shock comes from the fact that he would take offense to that, and at the same time, try to defend the Redskins name as not offensive to another group of the population--albeit maybe a very small group.
He can't have it both ways.
His stupidity truly knows no bounds. Not only does the Redskins circus continue, but I believe he weakens his position on keeping the Redskins name now.
Actually, the reality is that as fans we don't care about a lot of that stuff if you're winning. So in fact, it would make a huge difference. Unfortunately for us and Snyder, the fly in the ointment is that he probably just can't stay out of the way long enough to be able to get to that point. He's saying he's handed the keys to Shanahan but I have to wonder, for how long?Winning wouldn't make him any less of a scumbag. Ditto for Madoff.
This is a guy who owned a company that forged thousands of documents and signatures to screw over the normal guy.
Then, with those increased fraudulent revenues and fraudulent user growth, he sold his company for an inflated price.
Later, he took on SIX, and although not illegal, used the riskiest financing on earth to fund the company--death spiral financing.
That company was a house of cards. And this risky financing allowed Dan to have little skin in the game, while the common shareholders had all the risk.
Did they know how risky it was? Did they know about the dilution?
Dan often came on CNBC to tell everyone how great SIX was, and encouraged all to invest. I never once saw him mention the death spiral financing.
He's a scumbag. Like Madoff. Winning football games won't change that.
