The 2026 Draft Thread - Day 3

If this FO wanted a center, we should have traded up ahead of the Panthers as they lost Cade Mays. Hopefully they at least tried, if Center was the target here, especially with Hecht on the board.

PFF isn't perfect, but I can't recall a dude with over a 20% pass rush rate, 90 plus pass rush score who slam dunk is likely a bust. lol, I'll get to watching him but I am giving this guy a fighting chance. Scouts also rank him 8th.

I am guessing there might be something to him but I'll judge later when I watch him.

He's probably our primary ball carrier.

I agree with you, White is our best back, and JCM is not as good as people think.

I do like Bill’s upside though, he’s fun to watch when he gets to turn on the burners. And his is a cool story, he won several rookie of the week honors after having to miss his senior season and slipping to the 7th round. He will get his opportunities and I’ll be rooting for him.

But yes, White is probably the lead dog in the RBBC.

Purely developmental to me. But… he has all of the physical traits. So if he does develop he’ll be pretty good

Just a brief review of pre-draft stuff, seems he fell some. Quite a few day 2 predictions. I know something was said about his interview being not so good, but I can't find a source.

My personal biggest red flag is character issues, especially with a developmental project.

Emmett off the board. sorry fellas. Emmett is now doomed to the fantasy football black hole for running backs that is the chiefs.

The more I think about it the more I think this a Darante Jones pick. He will be a stand up edge setter for us imo. They will teach him to use his length to set an edge on early downs. If they needed him to make their DC happy so be it. And apparently he was valued by plenty of scouts around the league.

Also, sometimes teams make bad picks.
Both things are true:

1. Teams have more information on more guys than fans and media

2. They still don’t always get it right and make bad pics.

But sometimes they make good pics of players the media completely misses on.

Ah the obligatory he’s crap because I didn’t like him narrative 😂

Ranked a third rounder by the guy getting paid to scout these guys by the national broadcaster…..

Yeah, I’ll keep an open mind.

I’m not sure who said this… kinda hyperbole.

But ya. He’s a developmental guy.

But they could have a plan. Hell if I know.

My point is I think they may have been able to get him later. But who knows. Maybe he would have been gone with the next pick.

Listened to the Live Bleacher Report breakdown. Both hosts gave us an A+ for Josephs. Says the guy has incredible potential that he flashes but is also incredibly inconsistent. Said Joseph was their 83rd ranked player.

Also said he is a much better pass rusher than edge setter/run defender.

To be fair, I don’t think Peters really has a clue what he’s doing after the first round in these drafts 😂
Trey Amos was perhaps his best pick in terms of value after Daniels.

I like to give it a couple of years, not 3-4 years like some. But the wine needs some time to age.

To me you can evaluate the 2024 draft now. We see certain currents in terms of who is on the field for us and who we are going out to get as free agents at the same positions several of these players were supposed to play.

But now?

For all we know Josephs turns out to be a great player. I can't honestly say I have watched enough of him and his reps to have a strong feel for him one way or the other. He was mostly a name on a page as I think most 5-7 round picks are for fans and even media if they are honest.

But the NFL is a results driven business. We will know by who is on the field in time whether we got it right.

Kdawg-apologies for last night 🍻 I just hate our secondary outside of Amos and I’m so sick of slot receivers. Is Peters throwing the towel on Lane already? Just frustrating.
