The 2026 Draft Thread - Day 3

RAS Update under Peters:
View attachment 14800

Interestingly enough we have our new high in RAS with Sonny Styles and our new low in RAS with Antonio Williams (Bill was previous low at 8.29, Coleman was previous high at 9.97)

The number that stood out to me is the shuttle at least of the numbers I can find for this group he was tops -- fits the shifty slot theme

Yeah as i go back and look, I had one thing in my mind but went back and looked at some of the break downs and he isn’t as good in space.

He has a good rep as a smart dude and solid so I don't rule it out. Brian Parker who if I recall you mentioned in the podcast, I can see, play guard-center, not really faster either but has a big time zone blocking grade from PFF

Yeah i just don’t think Parker makes it to the 5th but maybe.

I did put Cole Payton on my list. I think the team would like guys like Taylen Green and the guy with the long Greek name that I can’t remember for the life of me off the top of my head.

I’d enjoy us drafting/UDFA signing Jalon Daniels from Kansas… just for the laughs. He’s also not horrible and might be a development kind of dude.
just saw his nickname is JD6. okay, i'm sold.

DB Ceyair Wright, Nebraska

Is one I'd like to grab, very strong for his size. and versatile. Can play inside or outside

Probably a 6-7

I know this is not the argument you are making, but the RAS scores for JSN (8.56) and ARSB (7.14) seem to validate the fact that the shifty slot archetype can be a lower score.

It wouldn't surprise me if that was an exception to Peters general preference for super high RAS players.

I also just think that Peters looked at his receiver room, looked at what was available on the market, looked at the uncertainty of Aiyuk, and decided that he needed a high-floor guy that he was willing to forgo a little bit of upside for certainty.

I feel pretty good about Williams after doing a bunch of watching and reading this morning, but my impression is that he won't be a star, but he'll always get the job done and do it well.

Ya, I’m not making an argument. I’m tracking the way Peters utilizes RAS

OC Jager Burton will probably be there in the 5th. I got him in my wishlist but I'd really like for us to be able to draft Hecht.

Conn and I have both made the point that AP needs to start landing on some of these Day 3 picks and, at times, in a big way. We need starters to come out of here and, possibly, future Pro Bowlers.

There are some traitsy centers and safeties with legitimate starting and higher upside potential given athletic traits who will be around in the 5th.

Don’t be afraid to package the 2 6ths or move some Day 3 capital next year to get that guy.

How is this board ranking the top 5 Centers? I hear a lot of Coogan, but I don’t see him ranked high anywhere online.

To egg on KDawg some. :p

It's IMO and many others a stacked TE class. Not of superstars but solid-good players really deep. I would take one if I were this team, I don't think they do.

Jolly is the top rated one from some left. I have to watch more but likely don't have time. He didn't grab me on my initial watch. Jack Endries is sort of the Antonio Williams of TES, not electric but does everything well and blocks well and is a sneaky good athlete.

Later in the draft, Dallen Bentley, reminds me of a poor man's Cooley, not sure what am missing about him that he's rated so much lower than some of the other TEs. Decent blocker. Makes plays down field. Good athlete.

Othe rone maybe in the 7th Carsen Ryan, with good production, decent blocker sick 3 cone time.

Doesn't bother me. I did a cursory watch of a lot of these guys and was wholly unimpressed by most of them. Probably a few gems in there like always but not impressed overall.

I haven't dived into as many prospects as I usually do at TE -- but among the ones I had, didn't love any of them not even Sadiq and Stowers but liked those two a lot.

But I like a lot of these guys. I had Sinnott ranked as a third rounder in that draft -- this draft in that 2nd round and lower has about 8 guys I like better than Sinnott. And this isn't me pissing on Sinnott for being meh so far but this is me stacking up to the college version of him.

But they seem to like their TE room so assume they do nothing at TE.

I love Roush. But its wild to me that the Bears took him when they already have Kmet and Loveland. But wow does Caleb have weapons. And of course they add another WR in that round, too. They won't stop spoiling Caleb.

I really doubt we go TE. I saw the TE coach say we have one of the best TE rooms in the league, and I think he believes it. Okonkwo is a good receiver, Bates is a great blocker, and Sinnott and Yankoff are good depth with upside. Best in the league is a bit overstated, but I do see this as a position of strength.

Granted Okonkwo is no Kelce, but we’re not finding that kind of player today. I know people are down on Sinnott, but I think he’ll have one more year to develop before we give up on him.
