The only definitive that I can see is if Styles is there, he will be the pick.

Otherwise, crap shoot.

I’ve also seen if Love is there he will be the pick. And if Delane is there and Love/Styles aren’t he will be the pick.

Theres about 1,000 scenarios and at this point I am fully in the camp that our FO is leaking information to multiple sources saying different shit for a giggle.

I’m not thrilled with our FO on the offensive side of the ball. At all. I’m happy about the D.

But if this is the case it rises up a notch for me. Legendary shit.

Now, don’t turn around and draft Keldric Faulk at 7

For me, the interesting debate would be Tate vs. Delane. I think Tate is more of a need (though it's close) but I think Delane is a better player possibly a significantly better player. And yet, I want a sure thing (as sure as the draft can be anyway) at receiver so bad. I don't doubt that there can be talent found in the third. Heck, we got McLaurin in the third, but finding one ready to go from day one and play a significant role is believing you can win the lottery on one ticket.

There are some age issues with a few of these guys, and that's why they're projected later picks. Lance's athletic potential is tantalizing, all of his athletic testing is apparent every play on tape. But he's raw...and already going to be 25 years old shortly after the season starts. If he was 21, we would be talking about him as a 1st rounder. But he's going to be 25 soon so the odds of him developing in the NFL are limited. Stribling will be 24 towards the end of the season, he's on his 3rd college team, that kind of gives me too much pause. Hurst will be 22 in training camp. So his age is fine. Sarratt will be 23 next month, and given he's less raw and more of a higher-floor-but-lower-ceiling prospect his age is also fine.

Combining that with other Day 2 picks:

• Bryce Lance will be 25 at the start of the season
• Malachi Fields will turn 24 in training camp
• Skyler Bell will turn 24 in training camp
• Stribling will be 24 end of the season
• Elijah Sarratt will be 23 post-draft
• Chris Brazzell will be 23 at the start of the season
• Germie Bernard will be 23 towards end of the season
• Antonio Williams will turn 22 in training camp
• Ted Hurst will be 22 in training camp

For 1st to early 2nd rounders:

• Omar Cooper will be 23 towards the end of the season
• Denzel Boston will be 23 towards the end of the season
• Makai Lemon will be 22 by training camp
• Jordyn Tyson will be 22 during pre-season
• KC Concepcion will be 22 at the start of the season (why didn't he do any athletic testing?)
• Carnell Tate will be 22 in the playoffs

I watched every Lance rep via a youtube site called Just the Tape.

IMO I'd be surprised if we'd be talking about him in the first round if he were younger. He's really raw, mostly go routes, hitches, comebacks.

Body catcher, ok as a seperator and that's against meh compettion.

He's big and fast, i like the raw potential. But an older dude running by younger dudes from small football schools without much of a route tree -- makes it questionable IMO.

But I am not negative on him like Jeremy Greene was on Logan's podcast, he thinks Lance can't play. I don't go that far. But definitely IMO a boom-bust prospect. Wouldn't hate the pick at 71 but got ones I prefer

If Reese or Bailey falls- is it likely? No. Is it a scenario? Yes
Sonny Styles- would make sense
Jeremiyah Love- makes sense
Carnell Tate- makes sense
Mansoor Delane- makes a lot of sense
Caleb Downs- makes sense

lol, I listened to it. Very vague. He said in a podcast last week that his appearance on the ESPN reporters draft, which is about to start on ESPN 2 right now will be telling as to his thoughts and he said he will follow it with a podcast to explain.

So I'll see if that has any crumbs. But nope the 106.7 appearance gave away nothing. He has been much stronger at giving hints of what he thinks they'd do last week then this week so far.

The number one stated goal this offseason was keeping JD5 happy.

We have not done that. Time to do it.

I was interesting to me that he used ‘makes sense’ for Styles, Love, Downs. Used ‘a lot of sense’ for Delane.

JD5 needs to stay healthy, I’m not too worried about his organizational view right now. That said, he will be happy when we draft a WR in round 3 and sign his buddy Aiyuk. The drop off from CB from round 1 to round 3 is much greater than the drop off at the WR position. That is another reason to go CB at #7. Of course, Love over anyone…

I would go with either Tate or Downs in that scenario.

But at the end of the day, Delane is a good player who fills a need and it s a top 10 talent, maybe not an exciting pick, but solid.

JD5 needs to stay healthy, I’m not too worried about his organizational view right now. That said, he will be happy when we draft a WR in round 3 and sign his buddy Aiyuk. Ya so, I don’t agree. Probably not surprising.

I think both CB and WR may be pretty sparse at 71.

And bringing in Aiyuk in August / September doesn’t really help us much.

I’m with you that Delane would be a great addition. But we have to support JD5.
