The 2026 Free Agency Thread

Raiders just signed ED Koonce and Paye, now they have Crosby back...
Wonder if either of their free agents signings also get undone???? Unprecedented?

Raiders cap is screwed now.

If he failed his physical the Raiders cap situation looks a lot different because they won't be able to turn around and trade him this week.

We should call up Linderbaum... just in case the Raiders get squirrelly, maybe Nailor too :)

Luvu’s much better as a blitzer than as a wannabe EDGE guy too, he was out of position a lot last year
Luvu doesn't have enough lead in his pants to anchor the edge in that alignment.

Washington was desperate after Wise went down with an injury on the outside.

We didn't really think out very well the depth picture on defense. There were huge holes and the inevitable decline of a player like Wagner and bam! you have a defense ranked #29.

The Raiders are doubly screwed. They got a massive draft haul from the Ravens that has now been voided, and now Crosby's trade value will have taken a nosedive since he failed his physical.

I'd say it's been a rough day to be a Raiders fan, but that's just their normal life.

I guess the Raiders may need to nix a couple of those deals before the league year starts.

I thought the Raiders had a lot of space. While not ideal, does this really impact them? Maybe the number of edge players...

I would guess if they unsign someone, it would be one of their edge signings. Paye or Koonce. Should we have interest in either??

if this is how we sign linderbaum i'm gonna piss myself laughing

Crosby's situation doesn't affect Linderbaum. Raiders have plenty of cap space, even with losing the $30M they gained by trading Crosby. I guess they can technically back out of the Linderbaum deal, but I kind of doubt that happens.
What this does is call into question the Raiders ability to build more quickly. A lot of their moves were to be demonstrably better in 2026 and 2027 and those extra #1 picks were a key to that.

Now, they have signed a number of players but still have to fill out a 53 man roster and deal with Crosby's health issues.

I wonder how he failed? Obviously he didn't just limp into the medical office for the physical.

It must have been something else less visible.

This also puts the Ravens back in the market for a DE.

Just count ourselves fortunate that we in fact acted to sign Oweh yesterday because he is a player the Ravens might have looked to bring back on the edge at age 27.
