The 2026 Free Agency Thread

If I was to predict I'd say we get Oweh/Mafe and Jennings. Possibly Lloyd or a lesser LB.
Yeah, this was the post from earlier.

And we let Lloyd go for not too much. Dollar Tree AP needs to step up.

Lloyd is the first one that pissed me off. He’s a stud and that was really affordable.

Watch us sign Greenlaw.
There is nothing much behind Magee and Luvu, and they are only serviceable imo. Need to add a stud to this group. Maybe they are in love with Styles or like another LB better as a scheme fit. We better not sign Greenlaw.

Any news on that Green Bay center that was cut? Any interest? I’ve only see some interest in Cushenberry, but he has past injury issues.

Listening to the callers for talk radio, lol, apparently the window is closed after 3 hours during day 1 in the tampering period.

Feels silly to me. If we are talking like this even tomorrow at 3 pm I get it. But heck we know they shot hard at 2 players who got 27-30 million and were willing to outbid the Colts. If anything that feels a bit reckless. But zero signs that they are being cheap thus far.

Not cheap on those 2 but they definitely missed out on several others.

Yeah, there are several guys still available but I do have a hard time imaging that we are going to sign 50% of them.

Earlier I said that I'd bet, out of the entire list, that we'd get Oweh and Jennings, and I think I will stick with that.

Probably about 30 million plus in salary cap, leaving money to sign draft picks-Tight end and decent CB easy to sign for that.

If we can get a quality Tight end- and a decent Cb- watch out for the draft-quality Rb love or WR.
There were a number of quality RB's, WR's and TE's that almost all moved teams today. There are only a few left until teams make more cap cuts. They need to sign more than just a TE before the draft

Love has got to make it to our pick #7. That's what I was saying.
It would be nice, but without it- we get bailey or a great receiver- or a trade down picking up a great receiver and a very good CB. I would love to see them pick up a rotational guard in FA. I believe we pick up a good center in our later draft choices. Tunsil is back- huge victory

Yet, they have signed 1 edge and Tim Settle.

Lloyd is tough to stomach. I understood Edmunds, he was lower on my list anyway but was disappointed to see quay go. Figured that meant we’d be in on Lloyd.

Chenal has been super high on my list all along but part of that is I feel like we need 2. Love Luvu especially if utilized properly this year. But I still don’t trust MaGee to stay healthy and behind them Medrano is a total question mark, Kaho is a concussion on legs (love the reckless abandon tho) and then a guy who explicitly plays ST.

To me, it’s a total failure at LB if we don’t get Chenal but I’d still be all over Greenlaw too. We need a minimum of 3, if not 4 guys we are comfortable trotting out there as starting level depth.

I know Jones spoke highly of Medrano at his press conference but I’m fairly certain he hasn’t played a single defensive snap in the NFL.

I'd love for them to be elite at finding talent and pick a franchise Edge, CB, WR at 7 without having to reach for a RB there.

somewhat adjusted for today:

we are looking great

If cap rollover could be traded in for bonus W’s we’d be multiple SB winners under this regime. Can’t wait to wear my shiny new SB-era burgundy jersey with “CAP HEALTH” on the back. That’s why I watch the sport, that’s what we love about this beautiful game

At the end of the day, this was missing out on a blue chip top 5 at his position player for the combined cost of Tim Settle and Amik Robertson
