I agree that any team’s interest isnt alone going to trigger a team to resign a player but like almost anything in a negotiation you got nothing to lose to keep piling on to the pressure

The Ravens still won’t overpay, not sure that’s a trend of theirs. The issue for them is meeting market value with their cap situation, in my opinion.

I am not expecting Washington to chase Linderbaum, not even a little, I'd need to see a more credible source like Schefter or Keim or Breer, say it etc. Then it would get my attention.

So for that reason, I take it as someone in Linderbaum's camp figured it doesn't hurt to also lump Washington in the mix.

It's not always about overpaying, it could be about years, signing bonuses, guranteed money, etc -- and maybe it doesn't have any impact at all, but they have nothing to lose to throw out any interest in the player.

He might have interest around the league but doubtful that many teams are clamoring for him at 20 million plus which supposedly he wants. lol, he has some good takes. Seems like a good dude. But lol, I've disagreed with him on somethings like Dwayne Haskins (RIP), Brian Robinson, Joe Whitt.

He's a great player. The interesting thing about him is value. It's not a position that typically gets top dollar. He might have interest around the league but doubtful that many teams are clamoring for him at 20 million plus which supposedly he wants. I think for him if the price comes down, the interest hightens.

Yeah I suspect the 25m number is somewhat exaggerated, but you never know. That would be 40% over the current highest deal. Unlikely.

I'm split on Walker. I think he's probably the best RB in the FA class, sure, but also it really pushes Bill down, and also makes a Love pick not really viable.

Now if the FO has already talked with KC about a trade to 9 if Love is still on the board at 7 and your other targets are gone, and your plan weighs the people who will be around at 9 the same at the non-Love people at 7, then sure, Walker is a fine guy to sign.

But if there's even a 10% chance we pick Love, I'm staying away from Walker and grabbing a nice complimentary piece in a White/Gainwell.

I am not split at all. I like Croskey-Merritt, I pushed for him before the draft but IMO he's not a #1 back. Walker and Merritt just about the same age by the way.

Walker is a very good back. Not elite. But in that next tier. Sort like when Washington had Clinton Portis -- he wasn't Adrian Peterson -- but you had to game plan to stop Portis.

I am big Love guy. I picked him here in the survey of who I want at 7. But its not Love or bust for me. Walker would be a needle mover type of RB.

I’ve seen the Dean link. I’d be good with that. Looks like an underwhelming FA group overall, maybe that’s a bit harsh.

I will never criticize a team for spending on the OL.

Would rather overspend at centre as opposed to overspending at RB or for mediocre WR this yr.

RB and WR can both still over addressed, but not the top of the market

A bunch of B level players with no A level guys. That's fine with me I don't want to spend on an A level player at CB. But B level suits me fine.

Nahshon Wright from Chicago would be a good get, still young and on the upswing.

if we are looking at more of a second/third tier vet, Buffalo has release 2-3 of their DBs.

Ravens may want to keep players but they find ways to overcome these losses as they did in allowing Patrick Queen to depart a couple of years ago.

Their draft hits in April are enough to keep the organization going and replenish their depth.

Notice they were able to get a new deal done without a lot of hullabaloo last year with pending free agent left tackle Ronnie Stanley.

In a vaccum I agree. But with Cosmi at 20 and Tunsil about to go to 30, having a 20 million dollar center seems to be a bit crazy from a cap stand point. They'd be likely pushing about 100 million at the O line.

I think we convert some Cosmi money and push that out.
