Absolutely and even more so for positions like running back.

Im really hoping if we dont get a guy like walker that he and some of the other top running backs go to teams drafting top 6

Jets just franchised Brece Hall who a lot of guys here were interested in so there is no way that they are drafting Love like some thought was possible

That obviously takes them out of drafting love, not that there was much of a chance of it happening anyway.
Now im hoping either we sign walker or the titans do.

Reese is considered an edge by a lot of teams.

They are talking about Bain, Bailey and Reese.

I still think everyone is wrong about Bain. But… I’m out on a branch on that one. And it’s shorter than you’d normally want it to be.

I have almost no desire for Bailey at 7. I’d almost prefer Faulk, but not quite.

Reese is the lone edge - I think he’s a solid fit for us, too. I just don’t see any chance he’s there.

I like Tyson a lot. And have said numerous times in the this thread that he is the most dynamic pass catcher in the draft. The problem is his medicals. And our GM has already said medicals are big for them. He is most likely off our board.

Just watched Mike Mayock on the Rich Eisen show from yesterday. He doesnt have Downs in his top ten regardless of the medicals. Says he is not a dynamic difference maker. Not as high on Bailey either. Says Bailey is inconsistent and stiff. Same thing I was seeing on tape with him.

The people who know the draft have all been pretty consistent in their takes that this draft really stinks.

I am not even sure Love is a better play than Hall. They are actually pretty similar imo. And Hall has already proven himself at the NFL level.

I don’t think the talent stinks. I think the talent at the top is much lower and there are a lot less difference makers than good years, but I think there is team improving talent throughout the draft.
 
So… you mean teams made it up so he fell in the draft? Or at least exaggerated it?

I said that a few days ago.

Everything we hear now until the end of the draft is a smoke screen. And it starts again the moment this year’s draft ends

Thanks for this SIP. That was my major concern with Love. I couldnt find a whole lot of pass pro tape to watch in him. I am definitely warming up to him at 7 if the top defensive guys are off the board. The thought of Love and JD in the backfield together has to be sending shivers down opposing OC's spines.

This where I was as well, wanted to sign Hall as I saw him as the best available RB option (draft or FA) before he was tagged.
 
I see that Hendrickson is a free agent, free and clear. Let's play "Would you rather..."

Pick 7 is up, Bain, Styles, and Love are there. Cincinnati comes calling: 1st this year, 3rd this year, 1st next to move up to take Bain. You're Adam Peters, what do you do (and, no, firing Quinn is not one of the choices)?

I would probably take that deal. I know we’d likely miss out on those three, but I’d be willing to live with that.

Probably draft one of who’s left of those three mentioned, maybe McCoy, or Tyson. I’d also demote Quinn to some front office rah rah role since I’m not allowed to fire him.
