Yeah and both of them are returning from injury. If we could land one of those two buys we'd be fortunate. It sounds like there will be bidding wars for these guys.

I really wouldn’t mess with a good thing. The OL is fixed. Re-Sign Paul, re-sign Wylie as a swing backup and call it a day.

If we run a lot of outside zone, Paul is a poor fit.

Hopefully the new scheme will unlock Coleman at G. We had heard that he had the traits and experience to play there, so it was surprising that he could do so well at LT as a rook and then not be able to slide over to guard.

Yeah I talked about this on the draft thread. To me for both the resigning not to happen AND Tunsil to hold out the season feels wild to me because both would have to happen. Why would Tunsil hold out, he'd make out like a bandit in FA -- this isn't like Terry where if he hit FA he wasn't going to get the bag he wanted.

Tunsil would get the bag. If I were him, I'd be like Kirk was, ok Peters let me hit FA.

Also remember Terry lost that negotiation. Terry and his agent wanted a Dan Snyder tax and wanted to get paid differently than the standard 30 year old, Peters held his ground, Terry lost the battle. But the difference with Tunsil is if he hits FA he probably gets more than when he'd get by making a deal now.

I must admit, I am with KDawg on this. Basing on the Terry deal, they need to earn my trust.

Yeah the Terry deal you can blame on his agent but it doesn't matter to me. Both sides effed that up. Tunsil doesn't have an agent so that excuse is removed from the equation

That's why they need to solidify Tunsil and bring in two good WR's

They bungled Terry. Has nothing to do with Snyder. It’s Peters that concerns me.

Tunsil doesn’t need to hold out for the season… If he holds out of a few weeks of camp and the offseason his chances of getting hurt increase dramatically. Business decisions will be made.

“We’ll get it done because we have to” doesn’t mean anything to me. I agree - we have to. I kinda even think we will. But until it’s done, that is my top priority. Period.

No amount of “ya man, it’ll get done! If we don’t that’s so bad!” will prevent me from being concerned.

I, for one, will feel a weight off my shoulders when this extension is done.

Of course I can’t say I’m not worried at all. Tunsil may make ridiculous demands and if so, there’s nothing they can do about it. But I don’t see how you can look at the Terry situation and say that AP is somehow too incompetent to realize the obvious.

Yes again, both sides bungled the deal. They also didn't take into account having a legit WR2 that could step in if needed or even if Terry were to be injured. They left it that we were in dire need of Terry and he knew it.

While we currently are not quite in the same situation with Tunsil, it could easily turn that way. We have enough roster holes and issues as it is and an JDs blind side was been rightly chosen as the priority last year
