The 2026 Free Agency Thread

He had a bit of a comeback season last year with 8.5 sacks after going IR in 2024. Seems he is a good edge setter in the run game too. I'd take a flyer for the right price for sure.

PFF scores aren’t as good as the raw stats. And he’s been injury prone. I haven’t really watched him and I’m not sure what to think about him as a potential signing

Yeah i'm not saying we need to be rushing to sign him, but he's an unexpected Edge player hitting the open market, and he improves the room if we sign him. How much, and for how long is the debate, and of course at what cost... it was just interesting as someone I dont think we were expecting to be out there.

Yes, and there may be a bunch more based on cap situations, you never know.

If he is a guy they really like, they should make a quick run at him now before FA hits.

There's been a lot of Tyreek talk around here last year and earlier this year. I never had interest in him due to a long checkered character concerns.

I'm out on Hill, when speedsters start having injuries it's never pretty to watch the downward spiral, not a big enough body to mold into the slot.

Yeah really since when is DC not cold?? Sounds like Ariz or LA will be a better fit for him if he’s that soft. Not the NFC East.

I want to know when Washington is going to resign Tunsil to an extension and lock up Treylon Burks for 2026 after they lucked out into getting a younger prospect for a team that desperately needs youth and upside with only six draft picks.

Im hoping he sticks around but I wouldn't put as much importance on it as you.
He's done absolutely nothing in the nfl and is a bust by every measurable standard and one really nice catch doesn't change that.

But he still has physical tools to be good camp competition if we can get him to sign cheap enough.

So if you go by the 5 teams listed he wants to play for the Chargers who drafted Hampton in the 1st round last year or the Cards.

The average winter temp is about 5 degrees water in DC over KC

Sure seems like a dumb comment to make to turn off half of the NFL from bidding for his services.

He's my favorite RB for Washington, hoping the 5 degrees keeps us in the game

I think Mafe would be a good fit in a Deronte style defense.

I know you are kind of joking with this Madden thing but he could actually play the AVG role. He generates pressure, is good at setting an edge and can drop into zone coverage. I’d be excited if they can get him at like a $15M AAV.

DC is tropical compared to the frozen tundra of New York State.

I don't want Hill or Ayuik. Both damaged goods and bad locker room guys. I don't want Etienne either. Bill is better than him

Three more weeks until we have real things to discuss!

Etienne > Bill. There are many reasons why he was a first rounder. Looking at just receiving and pass pro alone he is wayyyy better

Yep. We’ve gotta stop overrating our own players just because they showed some promise - Bill, Amos, Lane, etc
