Are we the only coordinator interview flores has taken so far?
If so I'd take that as a pretty good indicator he's likely going to be a head coach or our coordinator.
Just feels really weird that he would randomly interview with us for that role and nobody else when he'd be one of the hottest candidates as a defensive coordinator.
I think it's Flores or Scott. Once a Flores decision is made (let's say he gets a HC gig or goes back to Minny), I think we will hear that Scott is our new DC or Flores takes the gig here. JMO.
Saw Logan Paulsen talking about Raheem Morris. He talked about how good of a fit he'd be here because of his experiences and football knowledge in running both running defenses and in a way offenses with some of his tasks. He would be be solid for the new offensive staff as much as what he brings to his side. He loves the way Raheem handles and teaches players and situations.
That said, he still likes Flores as the top option. At this stage, either would be a giant lift

I’d prefer Raheem not be involved with the offense.IF Raheem is associated with this team let him be given the title Senior Offensive Assistant and let Karl Scott be the DC.

What assets do we have to trade for Crosby? Don’t get me wrong, Mad Maxx would be awesome. I just don’t see a planet where that is possibleGraham is intriguing especially if he came with Maxx Crosby. LOL

Why Flores and Scott are worth the wait in stalled Commanders DC search
The "hectic" hiring cycle has slowed Dan Quinn's search, but top targets remain viable despite head coaching interest and playoff delays.www.wusa9.com
Gannon slides while Patrick Graham rises
Gannon was fired after a 3-14 season with the Arizona Cardinals, and despite leading the Philadelphia Eagles' defense to a 70-sack season in 2022, was unable to replicate even close to that production out west. In fact, by most measures, the Cardinals’ defense is actually worse off than when he arrived, leading to his falling down my rankings a bit.
Along with interviewing for the defensive coordinator job in Washington, Gannon has interviewed for the same job with the Dallas Cowboys and also met with the Tennessee Titans about their head coach position, though that team ultimately hired San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh this week.
The second name on my current ranking of known candidates who have interviewed is Las Vegas Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, who met with the Commanders about the potential of a lateral move.
Graham also interviewed for the Miami Dolphins’ head coach position, though they recently hired Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley for the job. Graham worked under Flores when the two were on the Dolphins’ staff in the past, and is credited with helping star edge defender Maxx Crosby become a perennial All-Pro and Pro Bowler. There is speculation that if Crosby pushes to be traded by the Raiders, he would want to go wherever Graham ends up, if he leaves the franchise, which is still searching for its own next head coach after firing Pete Carroll this offseason.

Or the defense, reallyI’d prefer Raheem not be involved with the offense.
