Either way, if McDaniel doesn't get a HC job then this proves that he was there to be had and with his admiration for DQ, I think that we had a legitimate shot of being his choice. Basically, DQs career is in the hands of Blough now because if it blows up, everyone will say that we could've had McDaniel.

But could have been disastrous to wait and not get him… big time risk to hold out, and with the reports that McDaniel has now withdrawn from the Cleveland HC job, that leads me to believe that going to LA is now a priority choice on his behalf.

I just heard this, my immediate thought was Rooney Rule. If he does leave, they would HAVE to hire someone with experience. I like Lynn, I'd hate to lose him

Agree, might not be here. I am not sure how a veteran coordinator including one who has run an offense and a full team feels coaching under a newbee 30 year old. And lol Buffalo interviewing him for a HC position might compound that thought.

Yes, but only if he gets hired as a HC. The requirement is a minimum of 2 years with the current team and Lynn meets that.
