The USA Hockey team in the 1980 Olympics will always be his shining moment.
 
Galdi is my go-to listen, and generally his guests are really good. Even when I was the "PFF is stupid about everything guy," I still liked most of the PFF guys he had on.

However, this week, I think he's had 2 really bad guests:

- LaMont Jordan. I don't know why he was a guest to talk about the Commanders. He is a sideline reporter for the Maryland Terrapins. He was not good. Part of that might be because he has learned and talks to Doc Walker, who is the biggest football idiot in the media and I have no idea why anybody listens to his ridiculous schlock or opinions. LaMont's big idea was "they need to use a fullback in the new offense. And I've talked to Doc Walker about this." Well, the first clue you're probably saying something stupid is if you're talking to Doc Walker about it and he agrees. Anyway, Jordan was pretty bad all the way around. He probably has the right job as a sideline reporter for Maryland.

- Nick Ackridge. As I said, I tend to like most of the PFF guys Galdi has on. I've never really loved Nick, even though he is a Skins/Commanders fan. He comes off as pompous and self important. I can't really think of specific, but I listened to most the interview with my head in my hand going "and this is why I hated PFF for all those years."
 
Ironically Sinnott’s best role in this league is probably to be used like Juszczyk in SF, and I do expect Blough to play with that. I wouldn’t in the modern day call that a “Fullback”, but an H-back, yeah. I can see it

I don't think it's just Nick, I think 99% of these PFF guys are pompous and arrogant. The only one I don't feel that way about is Trevor Sikkema. Any football conversation he leads starts with the tape and the PFF grade is a secondary or tertiary item he will bring up. He also just seems like he'd be a great guy to get a drink with
 
This fanbase has gotten more savvy to the media-team relationship in recent years. The reaction to the Blough hiring shows this where, despite the fluff pieces and Tweets coming out from the likes of JP and others, the universal reaction to this hire is neutrality at best and anger at worst. Whether a bad hire, a bad pick or a bad FA signing, for the most part, it felt like fan opinion would shift after a few fluff pieces and Tweets.

I can't even remember the last time Keim made a point repeatedly and emphatically and ended up dead wrong.

Interesting you guys are saying this - yes I remember this too, however, now there is a fair amount of reporting (that didn't exist in those early stages) that WAS did in fact make an offer to Macdonald *before* SEA, but the problems were:
- the timing; he had interviewed the day before. It was also widely reported that WAS was at least excited about Ben Johnson
- the offer itself. I don't think it wowed Mac. However, do I think he would have accepted? I wasn't sure but based on what Boone shared, yes I do.
- Given the above? It HAS been widely reported and roughly in these words: SEA was worried that Mac was going to go to another team (they didn't name it, but it was clear who they meant; it wasn't originally clear that WAS had offered already though). They decided to - in their words - NOT let him go unsigned. So they made an offer intended to make him sign right then. It did.

They blew him away with the feeling of being wanted, thoroughly, and that is something WAS did not do.

Now, I want to emphasize something inherent in what Keim *and* Peters have said along with all of this information. NONE of this contradicts what they said. I followed it too. Keim and Peters have generally said the following points:
- WAS liked Quinn a lot more than people thought.
- Peters has implied Quinn was perhaps *his* number one choice.

None of that means Ben Johnson wasn't WAS top choice, and Macdonald their number 2. Why? I honestly do not think AP had sole say in the hiring process, but I am not saying that like he wanted "sole say" - one thing we know about AP by now is he is highly collaborative. I think he may have been saddled with a lot of voices in the room and he may have been, again, highly collaborative. In this case, I do think he may have jibed with DQ, and in particular better than with BJ (cough, I think we can all see why). As for Mac... not sure. Still, though, I think in the end you are talking about AP liking DQ a fair amount. I think he is pretty honest - he knows how to "tell the truth" while keeping secrets; it's an art and he has it down pat. He has openly talked about how DQ was high on his list and I certainly believe him, although I am starting to think it may be to his discredit.

What is your source? Who is reporting this? I have seen and heard this the last few days, including Galdi's pod cast, but haven't seen the source.

Not to say any of this untrue or inaccurate, but "reports" are great--I always verify the source. There is so much BS floating around X/Twitter these days I always verify who it's coming from.

Which part, I said a lot. There have been articles on it. I have a good memory for it because there are certain things that I lock away (this is also what I did with those Kliff/DQ pressers I mentioned so many times here). Certain things I really want to remember, I lock away. I won't necessarily be able to find the original source but if you tell me which part (the timeline? the WAS offer?) I may try to find it. I think I actually posted it here. I believe it was Athletic with the original reporting on a bunch of it but it was followed by some others (unclear if they were just re-stating the reporting). Some of that did not come out in those early weeks, but it came out much later. I read about it still later (like 4 months ago).

I guarantee you LaMont Jordan doesn’t know there is a guy named Sinnott on the roster and has no idea he would be a good H-Back.

He just wants to play the way the game was played in the 90’s or whenever because meathead Doc Walker thinks it’s a good idea

One of the many stupid things he said was “every franchise has an identity and ours is running and defense. So we should feature a fullback.”

It was some of the stupidest “analysis” I’ve ever heard.

I find it hilarious how much you dislike Willingham. I have to admit if you turn the radio on, and you hear that shtick about "youngest in charge" - I think every time I hear it, my hand jerks to the radio dial.

He's a mystery on the radio. I guess he takes hours they just don't see any use in? I don't know. He has no cred as far as I can tell. It's just bizarre.
