Having said that, there is zero, nada about this regime that reminds me of Dan Snyder's era. We don't have a psycho, douche bag, intrusive owner. Dan couldn't even sniff getting a stadium in Dumphries. Harris pulled off a state of art potentially (probably end up costing 4 billion) at RFK. The team has gone from ranked dead last as to treating players, to on the fringe of top 10. It's gone from one of the most classless organization to one of the classiest.

They hired a real GM for the first time and also arguably the most coveted one on the market. I know to some it never happened but they did win 14 games including 2 playoff games for the first time in over 30 years. As Sheehan said the other day, guys like Harbaugh and Tomlin wouldn't accept the job here if offered. Because its disrespectful for the position to fire a dude after two seasons where one was magical and the other they led the league in injuries. Firing someone in that context would set a red flag to the rest of the league.

I know in theory Dan Snyder was hated by 99% of the fans. But I get the vibe that at least a third of them like part of how he rolls. That is, act like the heated emotional fan. When you are angry -- act on it. If a prettier option to your eyes walks by dump your spouse for a new one. Be impulsive and don't just vent when things don't go your way, just act on it.

And I know some fans think their version of impulsive is justified. Yeah that's the case for any impulsive person of course they think its justified, didn't Dan too? People don't act without believing in what they are doing. So feeling confident that this coach sucks or doesn't deserve another chance or this or that is unacceptable context be damned -- act on those emotions and good things will come?

So yeah even though I might not love every step of the process as to them trying to bounce back next season. I am also not assuming my opinion is fact. And I'll let it play out. And for those who really hate the idea of it playing out -- my disagreement with it isn't whether they like or not like moves but its about the process. You have to as an owner especially early on show some patience and not look like an angry impulsive fan.

If we want the angry impulsive fan, we had that owner he's gone. So the idea that this isn't different as some say from Dan Snyder to me is sort of the opposite of that. It's the opposite of Dan Snyder.

Snyder, especially the early version of him, would have pursued a new HC, created some more fear in that building and would be plotting who he would take in the draft. And I think some want some of that apparently out of Harris. But from what I've read about Harris if you are looking for a little more Dan in the way he operates -- I think you'll find him disappointing. But I am more than cool with that.

He's also getting full control, apparently. The good ol' coach centric model.

Maybe they never win because they're not that good. They have names.

It's weird to have 3 monster D lineman, and heck their 4th is better than any guy on our team yet it adds up to nothing.

Good LBs. Granted medicore secondary but not worse than Washington. Yet can't stop anyone.

Nabers >> Terry. Their other WRs >> Washington's #2, and #3.

Skattebo >> Rodriguez and Croskey-Merritt

Their O line has gotten better and they likely draft the UM RT so it should be good.

Good talent that under acheives IMO. But the national media-NY media is billing it as great talent.

I think Dart is the wildcard, at his peak he looked great but also had some lemon games including against Washington.

You are correct about the NY and national media building up this team just as they do the Yankees in NY and the Cowboys nationally.

Their roster is not comparable to the talent level on many other NFL teams, especially reviewing the playoff teams.

Credit due is that they have a better roster than the Commanders. It's a shame we can't really say we are in year 3 of a build up because we are pretty much starting back over again.

On a good note like you have noted, at the top we are in place. That should be big moving into the scouting for the draft and FA. The sooner we can get more coaching locked down, the sooner they could all be on the same page as we move into the Senior Bowl, Shrine Game and beyond

I also think that maybe they wanted the exact opposite for Blough than people think they should have. They don't want him looking over his shoulder and they don't want no old vet to make it seem like Blough is the kid who has to ask his subordinates everything.

They don't want to give the impression to the players that he's leaning on the old vets for advice because he's young and doesn't know what to do. Therefore you hire someone who you aren't threatened by and no one ever feels like he's teaching you or he's the one really running the show.

Are they firing Anthony Lynn (and Brian Johnson) then? Because they already have that in-house

So to please some fans we have to bring in some 60 year old fat belly coaches to make the room look legit? 👺

Maybe we can bring in Chip Kelly 👿

Nabers is still using a cane apparently. So his health is in question, but all things being equal, yes he's better than McLauren. However, Wandale Robinson is a free agent, and I would absolutely target. Slayton is paid more than they were unwilling to pay Barkley, and had just over 500 yards this year. He was out performed by Deebo. They also have just $5m over the cap for next year.

Until proven otherwise, their D-line is Carter, Burns, and Lawrence, and JAGs. We had a vaunted DL that did nothing too. And Lawrence was underwhelming this year. Still better than what we have, but I think Armstrong is really underrated.

Give me Rodriguez and JCM. Skattebo is a better receiver, but his longest play from scrimmage this year was 24 yards. Both JCM and C-Rod are more explosive.

Our OL is better too, I think. I would happily take Theo Johnson over anyone in our TE room.

Dart is bigger-armed Taylor Heinicke.

And I wholly agree this is largely driven by the NY media. Every year, every sport "This is the Mets/Yankees/Rangers/Knicks yadda, yadda, yadda, year" and every year, they flame out in embarrassing fashion. Before ES closed down, I laid out just how bad New York sports actually are. They haven't won anything since Eli's Magical Mystery tour in 2011--despite having 2-3 teams in every league (Mets, Yankees; Rangers, Devils, Islanders; Giants, Jets; Nets, Knicks.)

So we'll see. Maybe Harbaugh rights that ship, but he still dealing with a questionable front office and ownership. We've also seen how the coach-centric model works more times than not.

Wholly disagree with this. They do not. We are not starting over either because we have Daniels and the OL set. We also have 5th most cap space available--and more once we cut some dead weight. They have just over $5m. They have names, but their depth is worse than ours--and we swept them, again. Most overrated roster, I'd give you that.

Exactly my sentiment. I tend to look for the positive and be hopeful in the off-season because I have no knowledge whatsoever on the inner workings of an NFL team. I also try to give a head coach 2.5 seasons before I feel I can seriously criticize a regime. That's how I roll. Not trying to yuck anyone else's yum. You do you!

I get we have a QB and OL. Hope the members of the OL fit what the new scheme will be and that they resolve Tunsil. We have a few other building blocks but no studs and hopes in the line up everywhere and it feels as though half the roster are not signed...so not really the roster lol. In year three of a rebuild we should have more and our stud shouldn't be a a Punter that's about to turn 36

I'd easily take Skattebo over our backs by a mile as a Wr but also as a back. But I don't know if he will look the same post injury, will see.

Bigger arm, bigger runner than Heinicke. After season 1, Heinicke was petrified to run. Dart for better or worse is fearless.

Thibodeaux as the 4th guy is better than a JAG.

Top 10 O line according to PFF ranked better than ours. I'll grant that our O line could be better especially if Thomas gets hurt again. But if they add the UM RT, I don't think we can count on this O line being better.

I think they EASILY have the better roster. But....

We got Jayden. They got Dart.

And two of their best players on offense are coming off injuries. And as you pointed out not much cap space.

Yeah i don't get the analogy some use that this is the same as the Dan Synder reign. You may or may not like what the regime is doing. But its the opposite of Dan. I know it comes off as a shot and I don't mean in that way but the thought of throwing out all the bums mindset is crying for Dan Snyder back. He's act that way.

People might just be thinking of later day Dan who was beaten down before the same and just let it ride. But Dan especially early Dan was impulsive as heck, would fire people on his whims, interferred with everything and ultimately kept the yes men close.

I knew I was forgetting someone. Yes I'd take him as well.

But I'll still take our line--especially knowing how much better Conerly got through the year.

Agree to disagree on Skattebo. I think a lot of his hype is the fact that he's a stereotypical New York idiot meathead.

They will probably take Tate or Tyson in the draft too, which will strengthen their receiver corps. But I don't see them improving much else.

skinsinparadise why would you take Bo over Bill? Especially post injury?

I'd take Tracy over Croskey-Merritt, too. With Skattebo its mostly his college tape. And lol maybe I am biased based on that and I happened to watch his games against KC and Philly where he was really good and that's stuck in my head. I think he had bad coordinators who didn't have a feel for how to use him in the passing game.

As KDawg said and I agree, Croskey-Merritt is just a guy. I don't think anyone around the league craves someone like Croskey-Merritt. He's OK. There are plenty of backs like that. He seems to excel out of 11 personnel. In short when teams are expecting a pass. When teams locked down on the running game post Jayden injury for a spell of games, Merritt disappeared. And look I was pushing for him before that draft. And for a 7th rounder, its a good pick. But he's not anything special IMO. Inconsistent runner, with some nice moments, zero factor in the passing game, bad pass protector.

But yeah post injury i don't know. But I follow the clippings some about the Giants, and Skattebo is sort of a culture-tone setter over there. Even with his injury, if you gave me a choice as to having him over Croskey-Merritt, I'd go Skattebo. I'd go Tracy, too.

Massive amounts of cope happening in this thread, and I’m not even a big Harbaugh guy on the whole

The odds of Skattebo being the same player after that injury, for any length of meaningful time, are almost nil. Not to mention the threat he is to himself to hit the tent weekly.

From an ability standpoint I get the allure, from an availability perspective though, no thanks.

Massive turn in this thread. Let's see if we can get it back on topic.
