They definitely seem higher as Yankoff. Using him as the FB, which should have been Sinnott’s role.
What a bust. At least Newton was supposed to be a 1st round pick. Sinnott was universally between rd 3 and rd 5 on mock draft boards and was overdrafted
If you're gonna draft a TE high and expect to develop him, you need to have someone on staff who's actually been a TE coach before and developed players at that position. With Ertz, we got away with it because he didn't need what little Raih could actually contribute. With younger players, though, this kinda nonsense adversely affects development. More malpractice.

This team isn't going to stop anyone on the outside.
Now, you can question the team's wisdom in trading draft picks for an oft-injured 30 year old player that came here injured and went out and got injured again with another ACL, I think he had a previous one in New Orleans.
Amos looks like he could be a keeper but again he was a rookie and got hurt just as the game was slowing down for him.
Jonathan Jones, another 30/31 year old player, came up lame right at the start of the season and ended up on IR before he could contribute. Since his return it's clear he's done as a front line NFL player. You know that when Hamilton at 32 is getting more snaps and is higher on the depth chart.

The Vikings got 3 TDs to TEs.
That wasn't by accident; KoC knew a huge weakness in our D and exploited it, as good OCs do. They don't just think they are going to do some trickery over and over (like pass on the 2-yard line). They attack weaknesses.

Sinnott will get cut, end up in PHI or BAL, remember how to play football again, and embarrass WAS in a nationally-televised game before finally fading into obscurity.
Funny, I was thinking he could end up a Raven for cheap in a couple years while we pay a ton for Likely in 26.

He'll hopefully wind up on a team with an actual TE coach, not just a friend of the OC, brought from a previous gig, with zero experience coaching or developing TEs. Sinnott was ready to take the next steps. It was coaching malpractice to turn over his development to someone who had never done it before. Having Ertz on the roster masked coaching deficiencies in that area. DQ needs to take a long, hard look at those position coaches. We've had the same problem with the DBs.

If he goes about it the right way, Quinn can always go to Peters and Harris and defend himself by telling them he is focusing on playing and developing the players the team has drafted and brought on as younger prospects, etc.
But when you make these kinds of decisions and are that hands-off with the coordinators on BOTH sides of the ball you leave yourself open to criticism that you are asleep at the wheel.

What? You don't believe that poster has expertise in developing TEs and knows exactly what drills Sinnott should have been running?

"Watch Zach" isn't coaching or developing. I'm being facetious there, of course, but when you intend to draft and develop a TE (or any position, really), there had better be competent coaching at that position to bring the kid along. Raih has never coached TEs in his life. If he remains on staff next season, it's a bad sign. If Kliff gets a job somewhere else, he'll follow him. That's fine, but he shouldn't be coaching TEs anywhere. This was a terrible decision by DQ to allow Kliff to bring him aboard in that capacity. He thankfully kept Bobby to coach the wideouts, despite Kliff wanting Raih to have that role. Just bad decision-making.

It sounds like we have a lot of people who attend practices and teams meetings and know what coaches do and don’t do with players. I envy all of you who are in all the meetings and are part of the game planning and are at practice and are on the sidelines during games to hear exactly what the coaches are doing. The insight and knowledge provided from that is top notch. Just one question. What do you all do for a living that gives you this much free time to be at the team facility this much and how did you get such access? Asking for a friend.

I'd disagree, but I'll leave your impressions to you. No sweat. Just a fan site. I'm not here to argue, and won't.
On that other site where I once lived, many of you guys remember that ours is a family long-involved in pro sports. I'm not, that's not my background, but immediate family members remain intimately involved. It's their profession. When I'm around and they talk, I listen. Some of you also remember instances when former and then-current GMs and other team or league officials were actually in the house sharing their perspectives. I don't feel the need to prove anything to anyone here. We're all Skins fans, want this team to succeed. No need to jump down people's throats if their thoughts vary from your own. We want the same thing.
Raih was effectively out of football in 2003. That fake job in Tampa fooled no one, especially since he didn't actually earn a salary for doing it - not one red cent (and it had nothing to do with offsets). Dave didn't take him with him to Charlotte in 2024 and there's a reason. So up he pops with former boss Kliff in 2024, charged with overseeing our TEs, as a favor, an undeserved hook-up.
