In regards to Jayden, I wanted to mention one other thing I find concerning... I don't see coaches talking to Jayden much when he's not on the field. There has been a ton of discussion about how critical it is for Jayden to be out there getting reps and learning. But even after negative plays that appeared to be bad decisions, I don't see a lot of interaction with him. I don't see him looking at a tablet, or coaches in his ear... maybe it is happening more than I'm describing but mostly what I see is him sitting on the bench alone.

I mean, that strikes me as odd for a franchise QB in his 2nd season. To me, seems like the QBs coach and other assistants (if not Kingsbury himself) should be plastered all over the kid and trying to assist him in learning from his experiences (good and bad).

What really sucks is that the final 4 games will be decidedly played in-front of opposing fans.

On Ertz, of course I feel bad for the guy. But I hope today was his last day on the field for Washington. We need to find younger better options.

Ordinarily I would probably consider this a big reach, primarily because of the injuries we've had to absorb. But there is a feeling that things are spiraling out of control a little, even though we are starting to get some guys back. I still think Quinn will get his full contract, but I think it's a little less certain given the nature of some of these losses. We don't look ready to play, nevermind the injuries.

I wonder if the team just has this super-unrealistic view of Daniels. They were prepared and their focus was so much better against Denver. Maybe that was their last gasp or maybe they thought that Daniels would bring the magic and so they could relax. I have no idea, but I really expected that this week we might see the offense we were supposed to see in 2025. The run game looked fine. Everything else was a disaster.

Well, I think we continue to see that our WRing corps needs a major overhaul. Deebo is still a decent player, but he lacks that extra gear he used to have that allowed him to lead the league in YAC in his younger days. Noah Brown? Please. McLaurin is literally our only legit starting caliber target. And we have the same problem at TE - even more so.

Between last night's UVa-Duke game and watching the good guys get trucked by a 4 win Vikings team today, I'm feeling a bit beat up fan-wise

IMO the team had one last gasp in the Denver game to turn the season around in some regard and remain in the playoff hunt, even if with a 1% chance.

When that didn't come off the mental preparation and focus was lost and the team you saw against Minnesota is now the one you will see.

Players know there is going to be major turnover here and at some point it becomes a business decision for guys that may be free agents or looking for another team to try and avoid getting hurt coming down the stretch.

Guys will protest to the media that everyone is 100% committed and working hard but you hear that a lot on 2-10 or 3-12 teams and it's just 'pro speak', what they are trained to say.

Seriously, stop brining up what happened under Snyder--it is totally irrelevant.

Irrelevant to what? Not to me. This team has been making me miserable for a long time before any of us heard the name Josh Harris. But if you want to pretend our history began three years ago, well the results still aren’t much better. Our winning percentage under Snyder was .419. Under Harris it’s .404.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m as glad to be rid of Snyder as anybody, but this season has been every bit as bad as any we had under him. The difference is Harris is only in his third year, and there is still hope it won’t stay this bad for twenty more years. But forgive me for not getting my hopes up anymore.

It was probably misquoted - I wasn't as much responding to you, should not have quoted you! Sorry about that. It is just that I see a lot of posts talking about losing 31-0 and how our defense failed. There have been a lot of uphill conversations this year about the offensive failures.

It’s a frustrating conversation that I know most of us thought was in the past. No worries at all.

See, part of the problem is for a team coming off 3-14 and drafting #2 overall, there never should have been ANY hope of going as far as this team did in 2024.

It was a mirage. Perhaps a cruel trick for fans that have been through the Snyder years, but a mirage nonetheless.

After 3-14 and bringing in Jayden Daniels this team should have gotten better to the tune of 7-10 or so with younger players playing more prominent roles.

That's how you build teams. That's what the Patriots just got through doing when they were in the same boat we were.

New England didn't panic over Drake Maye's rookie contract and trying to force wins with short-term fixes as the clock ticked. They remained patient and did the right thing.

Now, by the force of losing to the tune of 3-14 or whatever this team is going to finish at, Washington is going to have to go back and recalculate and strategize how to become younger and develop a younger core that can move the team forward over the next 3-4 years.


It was something we should have been doing all along, not trading picks for Marshon Lattimore and a gadget guy like Deebo.


But hopefully the organization learned a lesson.

As I mentioned in depth in a previous thread, Peters did not do the same thing with Lynch in San Francisco. The 49ers back in 2018-2023 were built on draft picks and turning them into pro bowlers.

Somewhere along the line Peters turned into George Allen.

Depends what you mean by “this team.” If you mean the 2025 Commanders, then you’re right, Snyder is irrelevant. If you mean the Washington football team founded in 1932 that I’ve been rooting for all my life, then Snyder is part of their history. Either way they’ve caused me a lot of grief and I’m not hopeful it will change.

3-14 is embarrassing. Prescott running the score up on this team on Christmas day will be brutal. What a disappointing year.

Now that game we may win. I don’t understand this team, especially the incompetent coaching.

i dont think coaches can go into the tent with him. Thats where his chair is this season

It’s apparent to me that Quinn cannot make smart and timely decisions. Whether it was taking JD out of the Hawks game, while the crowd was screaming for it at the stadium, getting rid of Whitt or firing our kicker. He cannot and will not make tough decisions until it’s too late. He’s a full grown adult and he’s not going to change.
