They:
a) did not think we could convert 18-yards
b) believed that Gay may miss with the extra yards

I tend to think it's not a bad gamble.

Tie game at the half. Field goal battle. If not for Gay’s miss we would have a lead.

Offense moving the chains but stalling in the red zone. Penalties are part of that.

Defense playing their best game in weeks, not saying much, but forcing punts and field goals is good to see.

We got some help from the refs on the last possession.
