What’s interesting is that Whitt’s vibe and persona is so unlikable when his unit is ass (that tough guy philosopher schtick only works if you’re good) that the local media may start getting a little hostile with him. You can already see it with Keim. These reporters want to enjoy their jobs like they did last year. He’s going to get some tough questions as the weeks pass, and so is Quinn

I typically hate it when fans over react and constantly say fire this guy and fire that guy.
Like Comrade used to do over on extremeskins, calling for rivera to be fired every 5 seconds, it got nauseating.

That said Would it be possible to get worse by firing whitt at this point?

I ask because im curious for non reactionary opinions on the matter and im not sold that im right that we couldn't possibly be worse but it certainly feels that way.

I’m not sure it could realistically get worse, there are some veteran position coaches in that room, some young guys as well, but nobody with play calling experience I believe. So technically it could get worse I guess, in the short term. But Whitt didn’t have play calling experience either.

Mostly I just don’t think Quinn will do that. If anything it’ll be an offseason firing. If we’re lucky

I agree it just feels like maybe whitt has lost the room so to speak and if they dont respect him and theres somebody they do respect it couldn't hurt.
But yeah i dont see it happening either.

What shocks me most about the offense this season is that the team has a runningback who is having an excellent season. With a theoretically better short yardage situation, how has the team gotten so bad that they can't attempt 4th down conversions like they did last year? Even with Deebo healthy.
