Official Game Thread - Week 7 - Commanders @ Cowboys

Isn't that Deebo injury similar to the injury Laveranues Coles (yeah I googled the spelling) had one year and didn't do much of anything?

While we're at it, might as well call up youngsters Brooks and Jones, play them, and see what we got. Hell, sit some of the vets and play the youngsters and evaluate the team needs for next season. Honestly, this year is probably not going to be a 2024 year. Might as well see what we need to do next FA/draft that ain't already obvious.

HTTR!

JP is an idiot. Not only has Diggs not been good since his All Pro year but he is also not a fit in Eberfluss’s scheme. He is better in man and Eberfluss is one of those DCs who loves playing zone and won’t change what he does.
JP is an embarrassment for NBC . Go from having George Michales and the Sports Machine to this is sickening

Somebody might want to pick up the phone and give Crowder a call to see if he's busy tomorrow. 🤪

We are overloaded with natural slot WRs. Lane and McCaffrey. Deebo when healthy. But at this point i'd take anything. Play Lane at Z, McCaffrey at X and Crowder at slot. But it doesn't seem in the cards.

Oh I see Chosen was elevated to the active roster so I gather he's in the mix. Brooks was called up last week.

Id offer my services as I played WR in high school, but that was many, many moons ago and father time has been whippinmy ass lately. But I'd damn sure give it whirl against the cowgirls D. 🤣

This is sort of what I was thinking. We have serious WR problems, everybody knows it. Cowboys know we have to try to run the ball. Just go ahead and lean into it. Call up Jacoby Jones, probably the best-blocking WR in the country last year, and use him in formations with Trent Scott as a 6th OL, and Sinnott as an extra TE/H, and let's see if the Cowboys' crap run D can stop a Jumbo Plus package. Run out of that 10 or so plays in a row, then start mixing in throws to Ertz - and Sinnott for crying out loud, kid is supposed to have great hands, at least try to use them. Double the targets to Lane and McCaffrey so they get, like... two each - I know, out of control. And then run some more.

Yeah i see this as a grind it out and limit the Cowboys possessions type game if we can. Long drawn out drives are likely our best bet. Dont' get too tempted into trying to attack their defense with a high speed attack, but take a few shots against one of the worst defenses in the league if they are there. They may want to 'stop' our run game, but i don't know that they can. IMHO we should play a fair amount of Bully Ball and just beat the crap out of them at the LOS even if it's 2-3 yards at a time. Let Jayden be Jayden and break the pocket forcing their LBs to keep him in mind, and there will be a couple opportunities to make them pay. Luke and Lane can do things with the ball in their hands, they've proven that on KR/PR. Quick passes can become big gains. Be smart and don't force our Defense to bail out the offense too often or it's going to hurt. I personally want to see a fair amount of McNichols, even if he's running into walls. We have to grind to a point.
