Agreed, Kliff’s scripted 15 have been weak in recent weeks. I remember it not being great to start the season last year, either. Kliff got hot later in the season, so I’m wondering with how obsessive he is if he gets more effective as the season goes on and the amount of tape he can grind increases. That wasn’t his reputation in Arizona, but Kyler sucks so it’s hard to say. Like maybe he isn’t super adaptive in the moment but can scheme his ass off with time and effort and raw information to analyze.

I would have called those plays very differently. Last year, 3rd down can be a running down because 4th is also a valid down. That changed the whole scheme and situational planning. Really bad idea to trust Gay on that play, and not trust your O. That was a bad 3rd down playcall.

Our kicker is very bad at 50+ kicks for his career - sorry you go for it there any time it's over 50 for a FG unless it's last second to try to win. He is not coaching to what his players do. He is coaching to not make "mistakes"

Caleb holds the ball the most in the league, but he also slips sacks in the pocket a lot. It’s one of his only strengths so far, he’s not getting sacked nearly as often as he “should” because of that ability in the pocket to make a guy miss like that. No shame imo, even if a sack would have been better. Sack fumble even more so

Definitely agree that they shouldn't go for it on 4th and 7 - but I think the 3rd down call was telling. It was a "3-down drive" call, and last year we had numerous "4-down drive" calls.
