I think they got close to a first on 2nd and 19 following a sack, only to be pushed back to 2nd and 28 because of one penalty. Then they converted that on a single pass, only to have it called back on another penalty. Given the ease it took to wipe out those negatives, it made no sense to me that they gave up by going to the run on 2nd and 33.

I was really curious about that myself.
In real time i was like holy crap thx for the gift Harbaugh.

And its pretty telling when you're relieved that your opponent runs the ball on 2nd and 28.

I got over that back in the ES days....when people wanted to fire everyone in the organization after a couple of series.

Except for the occasional witty,(in my mind anyway :p), hit & run posts, I stay out of it. I'd rather concentrate on the game, then read the threads the next day, but only if we win.
It's very entertaining.

I’d agree that Jayden was definitely rusty pre injury. But he’s out there with Chris Moore and a plodding Zac Ertz. If we get Terry back in the fold and continue to feed Bill, 15 of 26 is a distant memory never to be seen again.
 
At least in the past game or 2 Chris Paul looks like a major upgrade. Hopefully Coleman improves though. He could be a good dude to have around if there are any injuries. He played decent last year at LT and he might have to replace someone at G or T later if any injuries happen. Of course it is preferable if the whole line stays healthy. It usually turns out that the most healthy teams are the ones going far in the post season. Philly has been extremely lucky with that in the past couple seasons.
 
That video shows Chris Paul dominating a dude on every one of those plays. I wonder what the OL looked like in the first quarter though. I'll have to rewatch the game and see.

If Cosmi plays like himself, and Conerly keeps improving, this OL could be special by the time we make the playoffs.

I see all this talk about a few plays determining the outcome of the game and it makes me think of a Lombardi quote.
" If I am going to get out of my team, made up of men of varied talents and varied temperaments, the utmost effort by each man on each play, I must sell each one this truth: our studies show that the difference between the winning and the losing of a game hinges, on the average, on a minimum of two plays and a maximum of five; and of course, at any time, at any place on the field, it may hinge on one. Each man must go all out on every play because no one knows when that big play is coming up." The edit was because I found quote.

Well that was more eloquent than I thought it would be. I have a hard time thinking any head coach right now could say that. They're mostly all tough talk now. For comparison, "Biting Kneecaps" has to be the most known speech recently.
