I like the Battle Blacks and the burgundy jerseys, I have one of each. I refuse to buy the white ones. They look more like Cardinals jerseys

Black has never been part of color scheme.

A couple of the first teams to feature black jerseys looked sharp but watching all 32 teams seeming to copy the trend and match with their other colors has lead to some ugly unis.

Now choosing not to like them because they were never part of our color scheme before…absolutely. I know for many the black jerseys have been polarizing, but I think most people have come around to them. They are selling which means they aren’t going anywhere. The kids love them.

It’s admittedly closer but I still see them as different. Yellow shade is lighter, and no stripes on our sleeves. Font is different. I dunno…for me this is far from one of my biggest gripes with the brand.

I don’t think the black unis are going anywhere. I don’t have numbers to back this up, but I think they are selling in comparable numbers to the burgundy. Like I said, the younger generation loves them.

They’re the most popular jerseys with younger people so we’ll have to get used to it. It is what it is when it comes to the black jerseys in every sport

A lot of fans, pre name change and all that, were wanting some sort of a black alternate. Years back there was even a ‘shadow’ collection made that was pretty popular.

The black is an alternate. It’s a change of pace. Admittedly I think they could do better with the black. Personally I’d like to see a model much more similar to our old Burgundy jerseys when talking about accents and number / name font. Just do it with Black base, Burgundy numbers trimmed in gold, and burgundy and gold accents on sleeves… like this:

I’m old. I love them. The pattern on the sleeves is the same pattern as the Raise Hail flags that were really popular last year. It’s a feature I think they should use more.

This number treatment (swapping the number and trim color) is the one tweak I'd love to see on the black alt.

They would certainly look a lot less like the Steelers with burgundy numbers instead of yellow. I don’t love them, but it’s the best looking jersey we currently have. Can’t stand the numbers on the helmet though, get rid of that and I would like them a lot more. Overall, I’m probably old-school, but I prefer more consistency in the uniforms. Home and away and that’s it, I don’t want to be Oregon with a different uniform every week.
