I wanted to look up the color differences between our "gold" and the two other teams that feature gold prominently--the Packers and Steelers. All three are pretty much exactly the same RGB palate:
Packers: (255, 184, 28)
Steelers: (255, 182, 18)
Commanders: (255, 182, 18)

IT's also the same burgundy as the 1992 team: 90, 20, 20, and the same CYMK code: 36, 92, 85, 58. It's been the same combination since 1983.

Lol that we are an exact match to the Steelers. All three of those look yellow not gold. What about the 49ers? That’s the only one that looks like actual gold to me

Point is, it's the same gold we've always used: CMYK code 0, 32, 99, 0. Same since 1983. Why is it such a problem now?

This always comes up because people think of Antique Gold when they think Gold.

You can see how some of the shades are different (like it seems more leaning towards antique gold for the spear helmet unis)

But I think the fact remains that we are using the Gibbs era color codes for our shades of BnG. There could be other factors (contrast with uniform design changes, finish of the helmets, lighting and broadcast variables) that give people the perception the colors are different...

I agree the shades of burgundy and gold are fine and the same as they have been since the 1980s. I actually think the burgundy jersey is sharp, especially paired with the gold pants, which is by far our best look since the rebrand.

The burgundy looks off on the white jerseys because of the weird gradient effect that washes it out with white and makes it look pinkish at a distance.

The black stripes on the white jersey are also awful, as they make us look more like the Falcons or Cardinals. I understand that some rule requires us to include black in our regular unis in order to have black alternates, but that’s just another reason to lose the black alternates. Black was never one of our colors, and that is one of my major complaints about the new brand, but sadly it seems like the kids like the black jerseys so we’re stuck with it.

In the abstract, the black uni’s are by far the best-designed (which is why their sales have dwarfed the white and burgundy versions).

Those of us old enough to want to yell at clouds will likely just have to get over it. This franchise isn’t marketing to its geriatric fans anymore.

I am afraid you are correct. Geezers such as myself will have to learn to live with them.

Funny thing about the black ones -I don't like them and think they are goofy, but actually don't loathe them as much as the white garbage. The black ones are a few times a year and all sports are doing these alt jerseys for the money. If we had stayed the Redskins we would have gotten an alt jersey that was a significant brand color deviation, anyway,

The white ones on the other hand, are abominations. I honestly believe it is not out of the question they were made that hideous and that far away from our glory years uniforms on purpose and as a dig at the "racist" fans of the team formerly known as the Redskins. I wouldn't put it past Nike. Regardless, those white atrocities are the most Snyder of all the Snyder things in the rebrand outside of the crappy name.

Cold hard dose of reality right here. I came to this realization a while back…it just isn’t about the over 40 crowd and what we want anymore. I’m sure they would like to make us as happy as they can, but their focus is on the younger generations. Which is comforting to an extent.

The franchise will be different but will remain an extremely profitable and viable NFL franchise. The burgundy and gold. There was a time I was genuinely concerned the team might move. No longer.

Unfortunately I agree with you but they do have the chance now to do both

I'm way farther over 40 than I really want to be--but I love the black unis. I have a black #5 and burgundy #4. I need them to redo the whites for a #0, #72, or #78.
