The 2025 Draft Thread

Looking at WR, I feel vindicated that Eric Ayomanor is still on the board. He was a hipster mock media draft darling. I never got that and I posted about that after watching him. If you are a WR, you need to at least major in catching the ball. I got he runs good routes and is a good pass blocker. But he has ways to go IMO, having said that I wouldn't hate it in the 4th considering his size-speed.

I love Lane. Feisty YAC guy and good punt returner.

But my guys here would by Horton and Thornton if I went WR.

I love the RBs I mentioned.

RJ Harvey was one of my guys, and no one here talked him up as much as I did. Yet, I still think he was overdrafted. I like Giddens, Skattebo over him. And Tuten, Sampson, Martinez to me are a toss up with Harvey.

If we are sticking with the concept of who Keim has mentioned and or visits -- Tuten would be the leader in the camp. i am a big fan of him. I know you are too,
I feel like Skatteboo is a lot of the things I wanted Sinnott to be and he's still my RB1, but Tuten is RB2. Couldn't be more different.

Love both for different reasons.

My #1 is Giddens mainly because he can do it all. I was discussing Neal with someone the other day who was saying they like Neal better than i do. I countered that I like Neal enough mainly because he's a do it all back. Giddens IMO is a do it all back but with explosion too that Neal lacks. Giddens to me is somewhat in that same flavor of Harvey who went in the 2nd.

But back to Skattebo, he's probably the RB I've talked about the most mainly because I get push back from some on him. In short, physical, great hands, fit the whole we want to be a tough time attitude.

I know you and some others like Judkins. I liked him but not as much. If you like that style, Martinez is of that flavor. He's a good back.

Sampson is a weird back but I like him. For a small guy he's good at fighting for tough yards but for a speedy bavk he doesn't take it to the house that much. But a ton of potential.

Tuten is what youd expect from the fastest RB in this draft. I recall he has a critic here who likes to say he doesn't look as fast when you watch him. To eeach their own, but I disagree. He's lights out when he can get through espcially on the outside. Electic kick returner, too.

A lot of good DTs left, love Peebles. They supposed spent time with Hemingway. I like but don't love Ty Robinson but I think they can use him as fun chess piece.

I'm not a Giddens fan yet. I say yet because it feels like he might have an AHA moment eventually. He's got the most juke moves in the class but they waste so much movement and take too long to execute. In the NFL he won't have as much space and time to dodge like he did in college.

If he figures out how to sidestep tacklers like he's not going for a highlight reel every time then he'll be more productive.

If David Walker, Ollie Gordon, or CJ West is there @128 I'd likely stay put and take one. But, I'm rooting for a modest trade down partner @128. There's too much value left to be had and us having no 5th with our next pick @205 to me is less desirable. I see a lot of RB's going in the 4th.

There really is a lot of good DTs left. I don't think 4rth round. I this the 4rth is going to be RB and WR heavy and then the 5th will get back to the big men.

I agree. I think if there is a RB we really love , we come up.

Stutsman, Riley and a few DTs I like, but I think we missed out on the Edge class. I'd probably be sorting targets at edge in the 7th today, while still grabbing eventual starters in the 4rth.

I got to rewatch Saywer and Kennard. Wow just noticed Swinson is still there. He by a mile would be #1 on my board right now. David Walker is there, too, he is a fun player I took him in the board's mock.

Concern with Tuten is the fumbles. 9 combined over the last two seasons.

Yep, am aware. We've talked a lot about Tuten on this thread. It's likely why he's dropped. Sampson has some fumble issues. Blue has the worst fumble issues in this group.

But you'd hope it can be fixed. Tuten to his credit has talked about it and said he's working on it.

Keim slipped in his last podcast that he believes a team (seems like this one) has a third round value on Tuten and he doesn't expect him to still be there in the late 4th. Hope he's wrong.

The question is though with the depth in the middle rounds how many teams are going to be desperate enough to move up and give up value picks.

Somehow I think Sanders ends up with the Raiders :p

Whether they are in Oakland, LA or Las Vegas they always seem to take the lost lamb in the draft.

Missed CJ West is there, I like him too. David Walker I like too. Peeples.

Swinson for me though by a mile.

I like Ollie Gordon but I thik i got about 7 RBs left I prefer over him

Watch Peters take a linebacker or WR in Round 4 and then take a Pacheco like runner in Round 6 :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

David Walker, Giddens and Lane are my favs for today and 3 positions of need. Can we just have these 3 and call it a day? :)

If they hold off on RB until after the 4th round I still really Like Tahj Brroks and RWJ 's Marks

My guess is they would like RB, DL, a LB/S, PK, and OL for the PS. It will be interesting to see how the rest unfolds

Another dude i took in the board's draft, and got a ton of hype during the Senior Bowl but its quieted for him since is Billy Bowman.

He's a fun watch, feisty, has good range, a ball of energy, ball hawk -- aggressive run defender too but too much so, overshoots and misses tackles. But he'd be fun. And i know this team has spent some time with him including a combine meeting.

As much as I want an edge at some point, if I'm being serious, Amos is a wayyyy better CB than any of the edges left were edges.

MAN think about how different our CB corps is:

2024:
Forbes
Ben St. Juste
Noah I
Mike Davis
Sainristil

2025:
Lattimore
Sainristil
Amos
Jones
Noah I

Absolute overhaul in the best way
A bit late to the discussion. This was my first thought this morning, well after the injury to Logan Thompson anyway. I love how they have upgraded the corners, love how they addressed 2 critical positions with highly rated prospects. Just keep drafting damned good players and we will be fine.
