Just gotta do like Lombardi did, when he first came in, with Larry Brown. Lombardi noticed that he was having fumbling issues early in TC, so he made him carry a football with him wherever he went, subject to fine if caught without it. Story goes, Lombardi came by a poker game one night, and caught Brown without the ball. Took $100 off him right there.

I wouldn’t mind the move, but he’s just a little taller and bigger than Mike Sainristil, but with significantly shorter arms. I don’t think multiple sub 6’ corners without length is the way to go.

I haven't watched him yet but I'll get to him. Was just watching a little Malaki Starks, not bad, tough to tell in 2 games. I read that he played a lot of nickel last year but the games I watched, he was mostly playing true safety, cover 2. I like the narrative about him. He's smart-helps call the defense. Ive seen his acrobatic picks on his highlight reel.

I watched Amos yesterday. He's an another dude where I like the narrative. Watching him, he comes across solid. Brings some physicality but not as physical as I expected where it jumps at you when watching him. He's not as grabby as the typical college CB which I like. Trying to think of a comp. Carlos Rogers? Comes off to me high floor but without a big ceiling. Solid B player. Granted its not easy guessing on CBs. But that's my best guess.

Not in the least and always 2nd guessing myself. Been a while since I looked at this group and this is how I ranked them back on March 5th. I do like Hairston a lot very fluid loose hip type and pleased he's on our radar. Darien Porter is probably someone I'd peg as the one who will out produce the draft capitol used where he goes also someone I think should be on our radar ditto with Amos and Zah Frazier - one site I use often had Darien Porter ranked as a 7th rounder??? that's not happening with the numbers he posted. As Anselmheifer alluded to the other day, AP is great on finding Day 3 gem type DB's and one guy I forgot to mention and liked quite a bit that caught my eye at the SB is Tulane's Jonathan Edwards who the Commander's have met with I believe and also Korie Black Oklahoma State who I ranked in the N/CB group

I mean, honestly, didn't Florio answer his own question (why do they do it?) with the last statement of the article: "For future prospects who’ll visit the Commanders, be advised. Don’t let your guard down. They’re watching everything you do. They’re listening to everything you say. And they’ll be making draft decisions based on whatever they see and hear."

Basically, he's like - yeah, they are the only ones to do it and no one else does, so why? Oh, but they're watching all these things and listening to how you relate with other people in a relaxed setting. Florio is a f'n clown.

I doubt he lasts that long but you never know. Judging by mocks, he's going anywhere from the mid 2nd to early 3rd.

They seem to be meeting with RBs in all sorts of ranges. 2nd-3rd. 3rd-4th type. 5th-6th.

Same at edge. Same at CB.

Feels like those are the three spots that have a special emphasis on with Wr as the dark horse #4 spot.
 
listened to Keim on Craig's Take Command podcast. Nothing juicy. He say they've talked to Denzel Burke, CB, Ohio State, I haven't see that elsewhere. Also, no shocker, he didn't think they'd pounce on James Pearce.

I'm high both of those guys. Safety, like LBer, instincts make the player. I'd be happy with Starks or Amos.
 
Fifteen years ago, Dan Snyder dined and dashed at the Putt Putt in Rockville, Md, Sticking Florio with the bill. It’s all gone downhill from there. He still hasn’t forgiven the team.
