Keim has said now multiple times that this FO is shaking their head about the deals other teams have made. Look for me the Tunsil trade is so amazing, that i am happy with everything thus far.

But its ironic that the national media has more fun of the Kinlaw deal than any other yet they are laughing at he other deals. Not that peters' can't be vindicated here. Will see. I am open minded.

There is definitely more fish in the sea at defense still. And Keim among others have suggested they will be active, still.

the draft is killer good at D line. And i like that o line is likely off the table considering the draft is so so at that spot. But I still want some veterans at the D line and a corner, too.

It would seem like an overpay if we are going to have him inside playing his weakest techniques.

I am happy to see you share that he played some end with the jets. Coupled with Fowler all bent, it reinforces Forbes theory perhaps. Fowler presumed a bad fit for our future scheme and would be a 3rd down specialist and only offered that money.
 
Don't know how relevant this is but I wonder if DQ isn't trying to build one more time his "Legion of Boom" D here in Washington.

I'm curious how the run stats are calculated. If a player collapses the pocket and a linebacker tackles a RB for a 1 yard gain (behind said player), does that count as a miss?

I'm not paid to evaluate any players, but I find DTs particularly hard to compare. I get why Aaron Donald was a star, but when there isn't sacks, I just don't know if therly are doing their assignment as planned or if there is another reason they don't have "numbers".

Top 12 safety is a funny term. Seems so random. So he's the 12th best strong safety then? Average is 16? Doesn't sound like someone to spend a lot of money on.

Yea, its funny that Logan Paulsen on with Craig Hoffman was also geeked up about how they would use Kinlaw and mentioned one option was slimming him down, putting him outside because he's got such a quick get off.

The draft is definitely loaded on the DL, but that shouldn't influence our FA moves. We need a DE and an Edge. I guess if Kinlaw gets back in shape, he would stay at DE. Draft grab an edge rusher.

We have to beat the Eagles and Lions and those two can just run the ball. Even the Bucs and Falcons can run the ball. We haven't addressed our god awful run defense yet.

Some of the contracts going out are pretty nuts for sure. We'll see.
 
Tunsil is not ‘good’. He’s a dominating LT which is one of the hardest things to find. Teams go decades without finding one. He is a top 5 LT and some would say a top 3 LT. Home run acquisition.

You don’t think replacing a third round rookie guard with a Pro-Bowl LT moves the needle? In terms of where a team should spend its resources, I would say LT is probably the most valuable position on offense after QB.

Coleman is a rookie guard now?

LT is very valuable. I agree. I hope Tunsil stays healthy, makes another probowl and cracks the top 100 list again, for sure.

YES! For a fanbase that has a lot of OL history, we sometimes still get enamored with so-called "skill players" and shiny objects.

Wirfs is a huge reason for TB offensive consistency since 2020. Having a solid LT is a huge deal. I am reading some concerns on his run blocking, but little to none on pass blocking. For me, I am a little saddened by that; I hoped that we would move to more balance and not less. Balance does not include rushing just for rushing's sake, which we seemed to do a lot last year. Very uncreative rushes just to "keep the D off-balance" (and reading between the lines on a KK presser late in the year where he admitted DQ has to remind him to run sometimes and tell him how it keeps the D guessing, I submit that our eyes did not deceive us and that is what was happening at times).

Regardless, yes, this LT move should be one of the biggest moves of the offseason, if not the biggest. Just like JD was unequivocally the biggest move last year.
