The offense is pretty much set now. We will probably draft a RB at some point. I hope it is early and an impact player. Other than that the offense looks pretty stacked. WR3 will come from McCaffrey or another young guy.
Defense however is still a mess imo. We need TWO starting Edges, a starting outside CB and a starting Safety. A lot of work to do on that side of the ball.

Now that Holland has signed to New York who is available that we think can help upgrade the secondary? I could be wrong but I feel like we only have 1 viable safety in Martin and we have a gaping hole at CB3

By the way, the Giants got much better in FA. They need a QB clearly. But that team got better. They signed Holland for the same money we gave to Kinlaw. Which would you preferred to have between those two?
I could see restructure of Terry and Laremy and long term contracts for them

Keim indicated yesterday that draft gurus are indicating the 2025 draft is much better for defense, better depth of prospects going into the fourth and fifth rounds.
It was appropriate to go after offensive players in free agency and use the draft to acquire defense.
My bet is Peters moves back in one of the early rounds to pick up that #3 pick we gave up in the Tunsil trade.
Fowler's tirade against Washington was typical sour grapes and biting the hand that feeds you.
Last year Quinn signed Fowler when he wasn't garnering much interest. He played well for what he does (run support is not one of them) and now has a chance to get a bigger deal somewhere else.
But Fowler talked about being a starter and I don't see Fowler at age 31 and at his size ever being more than a rotation piece and pass rush specialist.

Thing is we had him for another year at 16. We should have just kept him since we got nothing in return anyways.
Most of the national media know less than a well informed fan about a specific team. Or football period in some cases. They have to generate content and clicks/eyeballs on a daily basis - 10,000 monkeys with a typewriter might eventually produce Hamlet but the rest of the time it’s just gibberish.In general its pretty wild how divergent media talking heads are about FA.
lol, some of the same dudes who were down on their previous off season like Jon Ledyard, and JLC are down on it again. Not that it matters. Ledyard who I like his draft takes is especially dissappointing -- I recall him lauding the Deebo deal when it was done. Now he's trashing it as part of his aggregate take that Peters is screwing up.
You got the PFF guys making fun of the Dan Moore deal and lauding Washington for the Tunsil deal. Then you got ESPN giving Washington a B minus for the Tunsil deal and the Titans an A for the Dan Moore 20 plus million deal -- Moore the same dude who gave up the most sacks in the league last year.
Overall though the media takes seem to be we made the best and worst deal yesterday -- Tunsil the best, Kinlaw the worst. Again, it doesn't matter of course though.
For me this isn't trust the process after Ron is crowing after a 7-9 playoff season. This FO has already accomplished something none other had in eons. Took the team to the championship game. Found a franchise QB. I am trusting Peters.

From what I heard Holland had an off year last season and Kinlaw had one of his best. I also wanted trench help first. That said, Holland is probably the better player.
Yeah it really helps open things up to have a LT who can handle the opponent's top edge without help.
When i looked especially at the playoffs, Tampa, Lions, Eagles all with stud LTs. It was arguably the most major asset this team was lacking. I didn't expect them to even be able to address it this off season. As to Stanley, the rumor was he would return to Baltimore but still he's not a stud LT, hes good when he's healthy but he's not an elite tackle like the Lions, Eagles, Tampa among others have. Now, we have one of those unicorns.
The draft looks "meh" at tackle. They can use the draft to fix D line and RB for example or even CB. But it felt like we are going to be stuck at O line again. This changed it all and I didn't expect it. You don't see a nonQB type trade change SB odds typically. But it changed after this. I get it.
If you got an elite QB AND an elite LT that's something special.

This free agency is absolutely wild, the price of contracts blew away my expectations and teams seemingly are paying not for the player but out of panic.
Holland was really good, but after multiple knee sprains in every season he's not moving as well as he used to. Dolphins fans seem shocked he got $15m a year. Likewise, we all thought Jon Allen had lost a step and wasn't worth his contract anymore...then he gets $20m a year. Dyami Brown got $10m when I would have guessed less than half.
I wonder if the Tunsil trade wasn't even Plan A or Plan B, but the front office seeing the price that both Jaylon and Dan Moore were getting in free agency made them go "well they weren't worth it, crap, what else can we do?"
