I’d also keep Wylie and start him at RG while Cosmi recovers. If you take someone like a Conerly in the draft, you can move Coleman inside and basically go 7 deep at tackle (2 starters + 2 backups + Coleman + Wylie + Cosmi if needed as a break the glass option)
 
With Cosmi possibly sitting out the opener, it is possible, even likely, that after two years Peters will have five different starters on the O-Line. Last year, Peters got Coleman, Biadazz, and Allegretti. This year, Wiley is likely to be replaced though I can see a situation where he survives one more year by perhaps sliding over to cover the guard spot while Cosmi recovers or fights off a tackle challenge. Then again, I can see him being a cap cut.

The tough thing is reading how people talk about the Eagles OLine coach; they talk like he's the 2024/2025 version of Buges.

Yes, I am unsure of our O Line coach, and I think that's a huge problem. Some of Coleman's bad tendencies at times, some of his poor footwork, it looked like it was not getting better at times I thought it should, if there is good coaching + coachability. Tough to always piece everything from this vantage point of course, but yes I share these concerns.
 
Well, with the lack of talent that we had at LG, RT and a rook learning LT, the Oline coaching could have been worse.

Absolutely believe it could have been worse. The question is, do we believe it could have been better? Where does it fall? How much of OLine success was based on the scheme (Kingsbury) or Daniels abilities? I can say, in the second half of the season, I saw a lot of Daniels scrambling and in the first half where I felt maybe the OLine had more success, I saw a lot more running and keeping D off-balance.

So now, what about the specifics of O-Line coaching? Technique? You know, fixating on Coleman and looking at whether he improved in technique, this is where I have some serious concerns. I felt like I saw some really bad technique and footwork late in the season. Maybe I'm wrong. That is my recollection, and if it's accurate, that is where the O-Line coach can be singled out. You want your rookie potential future starter to really grow in the season, and that is a huge reflection of the OLine coach specifically.

Your points definitely factor in, especially with KK's scheme and JD's abilities. With improvements made on the OT position in FA or draft and I'd have to think OG, it will be interesting to see how the Oline performs in 2025 and how Coleman progresses this year. It will be telling no doubt.
 
So is the team going to make any upgrades at OLine and DLine? I was hopping to see something like what the Bears are doing (other than the age of the guys they got) but making no changes to the OIine is concerning, and hell they may reduce who they currently have and not be as good as last year , especially with cosmi out for at least 1/2 the season

My guess is they have a plan, but I am worried that the draft is way too dynamic to count on. I think they have a general plan to wait for the draft and then fill in afterwards. I am sure they will make moves before (as they did with Deebo) but maybe they are only doing things according to their plan.

It seems like the Bears plan is: get the best OL together that they can. I am not saying they are mortgaging their future yet to do it, but they are clearly putting a premium on getting the best talent they can - that is what it seems to me, right off the bat.

It will be interesting to see where everyone ends up at the end of the offseason, and then going into next year, how the various plans start to look in the season. There's way more offseason ahead than behind though!
 
Tunsil sounds like a great pick up. Do we slide Coleman to RT or G?

I am still concerned with our depth. Our line is starter thin. We need more (and better) bodies in backup roles. I do think we can figure out the Right tackle and guard positions between Alegretti, Wylie, and Coleman.

I’m not worried about tackle if we shift Coleman inside and Cosmi is essentially depth as he will be a boost during the season. I want to see an upgrade to Dieter at backup center. We should also draft a developmental player at tackle to take over for Wylie in 26
