The 2025 Draft Thread

He gives us versatility. Can be used out of the backfield too. I am fine with it. And no chance we would have gotten a player of Deebo's caliber int he 5th round.

If he produces this or more for a few years- a steal for a 5th rounder
Looking for it on line- do you have a source?

Schefter reported it on the Combine.

Egbuka not testing is sadge bc I wanted to see how close to Terry he is.

At the same time I hope it drops his ass to 29. I want that man as Terry's understudy.

He doesnt have Terry's speed. That is evident on tape. And the reason he didnt run.

Side note. Most people are in this thread so I will post this here as well. The Cowboys message board is in meltdown mode over the Deebo trade. :)

Nfldraftbuzz has Egbuka as running a 4.3.

Now yes that is speculative, but anything below like 4.45 is plenty good. I will want more info on why he didn't test.

I don't think this disqualifies picking a WR at all, can lean into a strength. Think we can recoup this capital by trading Allen so not a matter of not enough picks
Exactly.

We had Allen and Payne last year and spent a 2nd on Newton. Nothing is off the table.

I agree. I also think that 29 really forces the BPA philosophy into focus. We need the best player who drops to us. Luckily, that fits what Peters says he believes in which is filling the needs with FA and trades and building the long term core via the draft.

I do. We arent picking a WR. We will definitely bring some in as Unresticted FA's though. We are going veteran at WR. Which makes sense with a young QB. Clearly Peters didnt value a first rounder at WR this year. And I dont blame him. RB, DT, T and Edge are far better first round picks this year.

I wouldn't have thought round 1 anyways, Deebo or no. We'll see!

Ehhh I think the Deebo trade takes pressure off us to pick a wr in the first 3 rounds and allows us to go true BPA but I also don't think he'll pass up a great talent if one's there.

I do also wonder if maybe Peters has inside info on guys like Godwin, like that he's getting resigned to TB.

Wellll Yeahhhh Mannnnn. We might pick one in round 7 brooooo.....:)
You gotta be careful, universe gonna make Burden fall into our laps.

Unless you're engaging in reverse psychology. *winks at you awkwardly* i see what you're doing I'm picking up what you're putting down.
