Random Commanders Thoughts

Interesting how no one gutted Quinn for not going for it on 4th down deep in TB territory. You know, because we won.

Given that the Bucs tied it right before halftime, I think you had to come out in the second half and score some sort of points on that opening drive just to settle things down a bit on the sideline. I liked the call at the time and still do this evening.

I have no problem with the call. I’m sort of ridiculing the idea that if you don’t go for it on 4th down every time you are somehow relinquishing momentum and control of the game.

It felt for sure as the 3rd quarter wound down that we were going to let the game get away from us and go down.

Not how it worked out :)

Congratulations!

I got 1 down and 2 to go. Plus a large undeveloped Caribbean property. I'm getting ready for retirement in the DR

Man, I just absolutely crushed a plain ol' peanut butter sandwich.

I have spent much of my time watching Coleman in this replay of the game. He really struggled with speed off the edge on multiple occasions. The story of the off-season I am most intrigued with is how they approach LT. Does Coleman get another shot, or is he looking at a position switch in '25?

I think it's all dependent on how the board plays.

if there's a clear upgrade at a number they like, they pull the trigger. If not, i wonder if they have enough confidence in Colemant to not panic.

Lattimore deserves a lot of credit for saving a 1st down and stopping Irving short of a first down as he was barrelling down towards him near the sideline with the Bucs inside our 20 down three with about five minutes left. What looked like a sure new set of downs turned into 2nd and 1. Wagner then stuffs a second down run and the Bucs then messed up the third down snap and got stopped again. They settled for three and the rest was history.

Yep. I had that same thought CH. he likely saved a TD drive on that one play. We may be one and done in the playoffs if not for that single play.

Can i tell you how much i loved the outside of the box thinking with the play calling to have Jayden running in motion like a WR with Mariota under center? The dude is a threat and a weapon, FORCE the other team to react to new looks

Yeah. I hated it. Lol. Didn’t end up mattering but that had swinging gate written all over it. Thank God they never actually ran the play on that one.

We did though, we lined up in it more than once. Mariota ran a QB sneak the first time. I just like the idea of changing the eye level of the defense.

Randy Johnson's best pitch wasnt 95 on the black. It was 101 that he seemingly had trouble controlling, because it made you think about something else.

I would love to see them ignore Jayden and him get behind the defense, it's not a normal 'QB wheel route' with that guy.
