The Jayden Daniels Tracker

I disagree. The Bears took the right QB sort of like I think that the Giants should re-sign Daniel Jones again and keep at it until it works.

More, Jayden belongs with us so clearly the Bears did the right thing.
Amd Jerry Jones needs to live forever and keep hiring all the head coaches and be the last word in who to draft and contracts

They will never admit it. It was the coaches fault....and if he fails this year....still the coaches fault
Yep, I saw last night a story saying the coaches wouldn’t even watch film with Caleb and he had to do it himself. Whether that’s true or not, all the blame is being placed on the coaches.

Although if true (hard to believe) it is a little weird that the coaches never watched film with Caleb. Not even the QB coach???

There just is no way that is true. It fails the sniff test.

Caleb will ultimately be very good if his ego doesn’t get in the way. So will Drake. But I’m sure glad the we have Jayden. He was and will remain the prized pick from the 2024 Draft.

When I've been curious and looked at the Bears forums a couple of times over the past season, most of them were basically blaming everything and everyone but Caleb. The coaches, the OL, the receivers, the ownership. Every once in a while you'd have a rogue fan come in and say "Guys, I realize that he had a not-so-great situation, but can we at least agree that he has some issues to resolve as well?", but they'd be quickly shouted down.

That honestly sounds like me defending Chase Young. Sometimes the guy you want to be great, just isn’t.

Obviously he still has a chance to be great. I hate his attitude. Refusing to acknowledge Stroud after a game. His body language. Maybe he’s just young. Or maybe he is the diva that it looks like he is.

I think that's fair. OTOH, there have been some absolutely dreadful rookie QBs like Troy Aikman who wound up being HOFers.

Hopefully he never gets the stacked team so he can't get into the HOF with dreadful stats like Aikman did.

This is pretty wild.

Compare Jaden Daniels games vs the Eagles and Patrick Mahomes yesterday.

It's almost like Mahomes is just not prepared anymore. He missed open receivers several times but was aloof and made dumb decisions. His season kinda sucked too when you look at it. He's married, kids, got 3 rings. He's not the same dude anymore, IMO. He's coasting at this point.

One thing I can say is that our QB is still going to have that edge next year.

JD, stay single for a while! 😂

Jesus.

Obviously, we are all worshipping at the altar. I thought about a Jayden Daniels angel for the top of the Christmas tree this year. But, what do you guys think he needs to work on for 2025. What are the areas where he can improve?

I think he needs to get a better sense of when to hand off and when to take off in the RPO. I'd love him to run 20-30% less next year. There were far too many times he pulled the ball only to get two or three yards and frankly I'd rather Robinson slam into the line from a yard or a half yard than have Daniels run for two and get hit.

I have been doing this as well. Sometime I join in and announced myself as a Commanders fan. It's really incredible that they can't admt that they drafted the wrong guy. Now I happen to believe Caleb will be good ultimately. But we don't know that for sure, there is no guarantee that Williams will ever get to the level that the QB they passed is already at. Just fell on deaf ears, I laughed.

My real issue isn’t even that they took Caleb. It sounds like they almost only LOOKED AT him. They didn’t bring Daniels or Maye in at all, etc.that’s just poor process.

Regarding Daniels next season, if we upgrade the OL and skill players, and defense, I think all he will have to do is play as well as this year, and his numbers will be good enough to be considered a top 3 QB and MVP candidate.

Well, Jayden Daniels looked a darn sight better against the Eagles than Patrick Mahomes did two weeks later.

Who would have thought that a year ago?
