EMBARRASSING. 55 PTS IN THE NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME?? It makes no sense. I get we lost the turnover battle, but we had proven we could beat them in December despite losing the turnover battle.
You have watched our Dline get gutted all season and say interior run D is outdated thinking? Skins D can't get off the field due to a porous front 7.Interior run D as a priority is outdated thinking. They'd be far better off drafting better tackles and offensive weapons. Fill the interior with high effort Fatmans.
I also wish this was 1985, but it isn't.
I agree, but the degree to which we fail at run defense needs to be addressed. Giving up nearly a first down per carry can't happen almost every darn game. Our run D needs a fix in the worst way.Interior run D as a priority is outdated thinking. They'd be far better off drafting better tackles and offensive weapons. Talent deficient. Makes perfect sense.EMBARRASSING. 55 PTS IN THE NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME?? It makes no sense.
Not after we beat them in December even after being -3 in turnovers. They did run up the score but we couldn't stop their 2nd string RB.Talent deficient. Makes perfect sense.

Need to turn Newton into an outside pass rusher

Talent deficient. Makes perfect sense.

I'd say it's a big priority.

Are you serious?!
What do you actually know? All I know is that Allen and Payne got into a fist fight on the sideline last year because Allen was tired of Payne loafing and not giving a shit. Then, we hear that Payne is playing hookie because he has a boo boo on his finger... oh, and a mysterious knee injury that even after he's declared out no one says shit about.
Ever hear a player being out with zero injury report? Was it his ACL, MCL, was it a strain, a sprain, what degree was it?
It's fine to give the player the benefit of the doubt. It's also fine to doubt the player's fortitude when he skips the biggest game of the year and no one tells us why.

Eh, as long as they bring in better tackles, the RB options in the mid rounds are always wide open, every year.
Rivera just gutted this OL, especially the tackles. I'm sure they will address it though. Can't remember the last time I had this kind of confidence in the FO...I guess it was Gibbs 2, but mostly cause the defense was solid and Mark Brunell was a good QB pre Injury.
Turning the ball over five times and still winning was a fluke win. Everything had to be perfect to comeback and win that game. Not after we beat them in December even after being -3 in turnovers. They did run up the score but we couldn't stop their 2nd string RB.
The plan to address training deficits starts Tuesday, I hope.Turning the ball over five times and still winning was a fluke win. Everything had to be perfect to comeback and win that game.
Turned it over three times today and did not have enough talent to over come that.
You could've put these guys on a regimine of the stoutest steroids you could find for a month and it wouldn't have made a difference.
The Skins are so talent deficient on the DL right now that they couldn't take advantage of a back up center playing on one leg.
Let that sink in........

You mean locker room clean out day?The plan to address training deficits starts Tuesday, I hope.
You're certainly correct that the 3rd / 4th produce high quality RBs almost every year. That said, from what Im seeing, this years class is especially deep, so the value / quality of a 3rd / 4th RB this year will be excentuated IMO.
Also, RB is one of those positions where you can get the most return with a later pick. But yes, Oline is still a problem, and we can't keep avoiding them early in the draft.
I mean getting to work and preparing as though you made the Super Bowl - if the the Lombardi is the intended destination in the 25-26 season. You mean locker room clean out day?
Real improvement begins March 10th when the free agency tampering period begins.
