BGO NFC Championship Game Chat Sunday!

I'm really excited for today and don't have the usual pit-of-my-stomach ache in anticipation of what's going to happen.

It'll be really tough to focus on U10 soccer all day instead of watching the NFC Championship, but that's how the cookie crumbled and maybe for the best for my own sanity to just get periodic updates and not be so painfully invested the whole time on each play, each route, each tackle, etc.

Will be with you all in spirit all day today sending good vibes and excitement (and channeling ABBA on queue).

I've been lobbying for us to go from a 65" TV to an 85"...and they have them on sale at Best Buy for $599. Might have the wife convinced to let me pull the trigger and have it home and up and going by kickoff. 👀👀
 
I got a pork butt in the ol smoker. Just realized I don’t have rolls… but I have bread. Gonna do a half sandwich BBQ style (or 2-3 half sandwiches BBQ style)
 
I find myself saying it's not horrible if they lose, we were never expecting to be here. But I also realize what an opportunity this is. No way this team is better than the teams remaining but anything can happen. I remember Marino saying after they lost the Super Bowl early in his career that he was OK because he figured they be back soon. That never happened so you got to seize the opportunity when you have it.

Still if they lose I will be as OK as any fan of a losing team in the NFC Championship Game can ever be. What a ride this year has been and the future is just so bright.
 
I believe that this ‘team’ is every bit as good as the other 3 remaining even though ‘on paper’ they aren’t.
 
So. Back to the topic of the thread:

If you are near a phone or computer, come join us in the gameday chat. There should be a little "Chat" thing at the bottom of the screen. Click on that. Then join the chat room. It works great on mobile or computer.

If you haven't tried, and used to post in the ES gameday chats, it's a similar vibe, but this is better. MUCH better.

The pressure is all on the other 3 teams. 2 have unfinished business, one is trying for the historic threepeat and we're just there to have a good time and see what happens.

Frankly, that is what you see from this QB 99% of the time. Pretty awesome. His prep level is so high, he plays so loose. He is not tightly wound at all, which honestly many high performers (Brady, others) are.

When I smoke a butt it normally takes 8-10 hours.
