Here's a quick check up of your Redskins knowledge - when was the last time the Redskins drafted a QB in the first round who actually won a playoff game?

1937 - Sammy Baugh
What year was the Redskins first NFL championship?

Yup, 1937, courtesy of Sammy Baugh.

Another DC-centric “Does History Repeat Itself?” I’ve seen mentioned concerns the parallels between the Commanders this season and the 2019 Washington Nationals.

The Nats started out that year slow and not a whole lot was expected of them. They had a mix of young talent sprinkled in with solid veterans. They hit a hot streak in the second half of the season and earned a wild card berth. Led by a young phenom they blew through the playoffs and ultimately reached the mountaintop.

Could championship lightning strike twice in DC?

Has any other team won a championship with a rookie QB?

I know that a rookie hasn't won a SB.

If no other team has, and we do this year, then Washington will have done twice what no other team has ever done.
