Anybody got memes/funny pics from the win last night ? Boone, is it ok to post them here or does that need a separate thread?

Post away :)

Both are okay. We don't really believe in handcuffing posters.

What Mike Pereria was talking about was when the QB is blown up immediately after the interception when some defender goes headhunting. This is not what happened on that play. Goff was running downfield trying to make a play. He was not a defenseless QB in the seconds after a pass. He was a defender trying to tackle a ball carrier.
And his initial hit was in the upper chest - and his momentuum caused him to slide up and connect with the bottom of Goff's helmet. It's not something a player can control and they were right not to throw the flag. Besides, the Lions got the benefit of a number of other suspect calls including that phantom facemask call that turned into 7 pts for the Lions. They have no excuses about officiating last night.

Yeah, someone else mentioned the noncall on the defender who delivered a blow on Daniels when he was already three yards out of bounds. Couldn't believe the refs swallowed their flag on that one. That's how players get hurt.

It's not even the first time it's happened. If I'm Dan Quinn, I'm telling Roger Goodell that if he doesn't get assurances those calls aren't going to be missed going forward and that his QB is going to get the same protection players like Mahomes routinely get, that we will decline to show up for the rest of the playoff schedule.

Those non-calls cannot continue to happen. Borderline calls - we understand sometimes are judgement calls. But when a QB is clearly out of bounds, you simply can't continue to allow QBs to get hit like that. You are putting a future star's career and health at risk.

Also Dyami with the big catch while the defender is trying to poke his eyes out.

The concentration on that one was just unbelievable!
THAT was a missed PI. Didn’t matter because he caught it.

But when you catch the ball while somebody is covering your eyes, that typically means the defender got their early. If Brown had not fought that, I would have been very miffed if a penalty had not been called.

I loved the no call and think the officials were correct. Yes, and a good rule, after a INT, the QB is protected and he should be. A ton of cheap, violent shots over the years have called for that rule. BUT, Goff was tracking and going for a tackle, though not very athletically. He became fair game, like a running QB. He got what he deserved.

On a side note, I want that guy that went viral for the Lions and was talking all that sh*t......we have receipts.

That’s the point Peirrera completely missed. Goff gave up his protection when he went to try and make a tackle. When he did that, he becomes any other player and can be popped.

Will this suffice? Spoiler Alert: It doesn’t age well. 😉

We're a good team, that's the truth. Defense little shaky but hey if you can generate turnovers then who cares if you give up some yards.

Nick Saban was probably right, Mike Sanristil is very likely the best player pound for pound in the draft.

And Lattimore wasn't targeted much at all. That's huge.
