Official Game Thread - Playoffs Week 1 - Commanders @ Buccaneers - SNF

I'm re-watching the game and our tackling is terrible.

Wrap the fuck up. Bring the fucker down.

Because Stafford is a god here (because UGA), I think the Rams have the support of the ATL.

crying watching the end of the replay.
It's what I deserved after all these years.

As fans it's kind of like being released from prison after 25 years under false inprisonment with no parole. None of us deserved it, but we got the sentence.

Can I get a "amen" upon release???????????

It seems they run BRob up the gut all the time. Kliff needs to switch it up. It’s frustrating to watch. We really need another RB next season. JD is gonna get killed if we can’t run the ball.

It’s kind of difficult to do anything else with BRob on a consistent basis because he can’t beat LB’s to the edge on off-tackle runs. He’s decent after the catch in a straight line when he gets a head of steam, but you can only toss him check downs or screens so many times per game to keep his usage unpredictable. He’s just not that great, unfortunately. Needs ideal conditions and full health to roll over defenses a few games per year

I think it's pretty obvious that BRob is a decent/good RB and not much more at this level.

We need a major upgrade over the next 2 years. I think we draft a RB early in the next couple of drafts.

I agree.

Unlike someone like Daniels, who shows up big in big moments and big games, Robinson always seems to show up small in those same moments.

Or not at all.

I know the OL at times have done him no favors, but Daniels is behind the same OL and he makes it work.

We definitely need an upgrade because I don't believe Robinson is the long term answer.

I was watching a few games from 2006 just yesterday and man was CP26 fast!

I still remember CP's first carry as a Redskin, 50+ yards to the house. Remember how he would put his hand on Sellers' hip and follow him through the hole? Sheriff Gunnagitcha was one of a kind.

CP was a guy who came up big when it counted. He was the lynchpin behind the 5-0 finish in 2005 to get us to the playoffs. 5 straight 100+ yard games

CP added 20-30 pounds and became Riggo 2.0 for GIbbs 2.0. He came here with his 5.5 average running zone for Shanny in Denver, then he was re-invented here as a power back.

Why haven't we all seen a comp vid of his blocks though. Outside of SE Jerome, his blitz pickup really set him apart from any back I have ever seen. He was the most violent blocking back I'd wager any of us have ever seen.
