Defensive Tackles in the draft where we might pick

I rather use a 2 or 3 on DT. Get someone solid hungry and with potential
 
I really hope they find a way to move on from Payne. His laziness and lack of hunger is bad for team dynamics. You can’t continue to trot out a guy that doesn’t have the mentality it takes to play in this league. I don’t want to see it rub off on other players, especially the young guys.

I hope both him and Allen show up big for the playoffs. If so, trade them. If no one will trade for them then they should be cut no matter the cap penalty. We have enough cap space to move on from them if we desire. I know it’s easier to move on from Allen than Payne because of their contracts, but we need to move on.

I think it's too hard to move on from Allen and Payne both this year, and cutting Allen saves us $17 million on the cap. Cutting Payne AFTER next season saves us about another 17 million. I think that's the move. Move on from Allen this year and Payne next year.

If either Mason Graham or Walter Nolen are there when we pick, I'd pull the trigger. Those two are the only DTs I would select with our 1st round pick. This draft is loaded with talented DTs but I'd make the exception w/our 1st rounder with those two.

Payne is only 27, I wonder with the potential great team next year if he might pick it up this off season and play with more intensity. If he returned to form it would be a great help to the team.
 
No DTs in RD1 this year!!!

Unless he puts up a Pro Bowl year (which he has done once), you have to plan on replacing him after 2025. What a terrible contract. Thanks again Ron
 
joking...but redo his contract so he's in a contract year every year...
 
I am thinking good thoughts on what I saw this year from others. Payne is going to put the effort in and become decent. Allen will redo his contract and be an excellent rotational player. Newton the same. Those who rotated in did a pretty decent job. We draft a edge in the first who is good against the run. Sign one or 2 good CB's in free agency and a WR. Sign the FA's who played for us. That would probably leave us 30 million in salary cap and a team ready to take the next step. RB and OT in second and third.
 
Allen seems to be doing a good job- any observations would be appreciated
